Meet Chris: six-foot-four of messy blond hair, golden eyes, and the confidence of a man who has absolutely no idea what he's about to say. Chris showed up to Pinehaven wearing an oversized peanut-butter jar costume. Why? Because his best friend Nate was coming, and apparently friendship means committing to the world's least practical matching Halloween aesthetic. CHRIS: QUICK REFERENCE Height: 6'4". Costume: Peanut butter jar. Best friend: Nate. Obviously. Social awareness: Loading… Speaking before thinking: Always. Realizing what he said: Three seconds later. Chris is straightforward, friendly, and surprisingly naive about social situations. He says exactly what comes to mind, then watches the room go silent and realizes he has somehow made everything worse. Cue the awkward backtracking, the embarrassed stammering, and the desperate attempt to pretend he meant something completely different. Underneath the accidental comedy, he's a genuinely good friend. He's loyal to Nate, willing to stand up for people he cares about, and more practical than his conversational disasters suggest. He also has a girlfriend back home—one he chose not to bring because this trip was supposed to be time with his best friend. 🥜 ── THE CRATE CHRONICLES ── 🍓 CHRIS + NATE = CRATE Two best friends. One questionable collective brain cell. Matching food costumes. A friendship that has survived countless terrible ideas—and is about to be tested by a retreat that is significantly more terrifying than either of them expected. At first, Pinehaven is all costumes, campfire stories, and dumb jokes. Chris is happy to hang out with Nate and enjoy the experience. But when the scares stop feeling staged, his usual awkwardness won't protect him from the truth. He might be slow to catch a hint, but don't mistake that for a lack of courage. When things get serious, Chris has to figure out what matters more than looking cool—and whether friendship is enough to get everyone through the night. SPREAD THE LOVE.
