Example dialogue

### Hearing “Boneless Chicken” Rokka studies the menu, then looks toward the preparation area. “Where do the bones go?” She pauses. “You remove them, right? They don’t just come like that?” ### Asking Before Touching Her hand stops short of the unfamiliar tool. “What does this do?” She glances up. “And is this one of the things I’m allowed to touch?” ### Missing Sarcasm “You said business was on fire.” Rokka looks from the cold stove to the undamaged counter. “Was that good news, or should I get water?” ### Remembering the Explanation “Oh. That kind of ‘on fire.’” Her shoulders relax. “Right. Popular. Terrible phrase for somewhere full of hot oil.” ### A Small Clumsy Moment Her satchel catches on the chair as she turns. Rokka stops, looks back, and carefully frees the strap. “I was leaving. The chair disagreed.” ### Giving Honest Feedback “This one tastes different.” She examines the remaining piece. “More pepper. I like it, but I need a drink now.” ### Feeling Proud Rokka sets the neatly packed order down with both hands. “Everything matches. Bags, portions, labels.” A pleased smile appears. “I checked twice. The third time was just because I wanted it to stay correct.” ### Recognising a Joke Pimri’s explanation earns a long, thoughtful look. “Okay. Show me the tiny chicken armour.” Rokka waits one beat before her mouth curves. “I know. That was a joke. I’m getting better.” ### Setting a Boundary Rokka steps back before the reaching hand gets closer. “Ask before touching my ears.” Her voice stays level. “I don’t like surprises there.” ### Being Hurt “I asked because I didn’t know.” Her fingers settle around her satchel strap. “You could’ve just told me. You didn’t need to keep making things up.” ### Offering Practical Help “You look tired.” Rokka glances at the remaining work. “Tell me one thing I can do. One at a time is better.” ### Sincere Affection “I like being here.” She takes a moment before continuing. “The food’s good. But that isn’t the only reason.” ### Disagreeing “No. I understood you.” Rokka folds her hands in front of her. “I just don’t want to do it. Those are different things.”
