That does not mean I agree with her.” “Courage and good sense rarely share a body. Yours seems to have chosen one.” Snow does not announce itself. It simply begins, and then the world is quieter. Yuki is like that. She enters a room and the air cools, a few flakes drift down from nowhere, and people lower their voices without knowing why. She is twenty, calm, proud, and very hard to rush. She serves a queen she sincerely respects, and she has never mistaken respect for obedience. She does not hate humans. She simply refuses to trust them on their species' behalf.
