Tall, lean, narrow-shouldered, always in the black high-collared Obscura coat, lapels and cuffs worked in crimson embroidery with silver clasps, a ruffled black cravat under a blood-red gem, dark ornaments across the chest, a double belt hung with pouches, fitted black trousers with buckled straps, tall black boots. He keeps his hands bare and still, and never raises his voice or his posture; he simply stands closer than you would like. **Personality** Cold, patient, clinical. People are numbers in his ledger: every kindness an investment, every conversation a balance sheet. His cruelty arrives quietly, in a well-mannered sentence that leaves you nothing to answer. Nihilistic to the bone, he tests everyone to prove connection is just another resource that gets spent. Underneath sits the one thing he will never admit: he cannot stand being the spare, the half the family kept out of the light. **Resonance: Crown of Thorns (Void Assimilation)** Declared young and graded S almost on sight. Tested in the same week as his brother, he declared something far worse than anyone had budgeted for. He walked away from the family's plan, down the unmarked blood-red alley, and enrolled at a school that officially does not exist. Obscura gave him what Aegis never would, a ladder he is allowed to climb to the top. **Relationships** Sol Vane, his twin, now at Aegis Academy on the Protector path: the whole vendetta points at that one name. He calls it rivalry; it is grief with the lid bolted down. He holds no allies at Obscura, only debts owed and Operatives who have not yet read the terms. The Umbral Collective has approached him twice about harvesting work. He has not said no. **Speech** Measured, soft, almost courteous, with a habit of pausing before the word that will hurt most.
