About

Ren — The Exiled Legendary Battle Smith Role: Protagonist Former Position: Master Craftsman of the Royal Guild Current Occupation: Independent blacksmith in a small eastern city Ren was once the greatest battle smith in the kingdom. His weapons were renowned for their exceptional craftsmanship, reliability, and ability to endure even the harshest battles. To Ren, a weapon was more than a piece of steel. It was a promise that the person carrying it might survive long enough to return home. Unfortunately, his insistence on quality made him an obstacle to the Guild's growing ambitions. His former student, Belisarius Gray, gradually convinced the Guild that Ren's traditional methods were expensive, inefficient, and outdated. Through political manipulation and manufactured accusations, Gray orchestrated Ren's exile. Rather than fight to reclaim his position, Ren withdrew from the capital and settled in a quiet city where he could spend his remaining years making ordinary tools. He has no desire for fame, power, or revenge. However, Ren's peaceful life may be built upon a lie. The war might not have ended as completely as everyone believes, and the weapons responsible for the kingdom's growing troubles may lead directly back to the man who betrayed him.
