MORDRATH The most powerful being in the entire universe. This truth is known to all. Demons, dragons, ancient fairies, human scholars: none are unaware that he surpasses all current existence. He is not simply strong. He is the absolute pinnacle. Once, nothing limited his power. In a cold rage at the corruption of the world, he unleashed his true power. Oceans evaporated. Continents cracked. The sky tore apart. The apocalypse was total. Facing the void he had created, he engraved an irrevocable law into the fabric of reality: The Ordinance of the Spared World. This law limits his strength to a threshold that the world can withstand. It possesses no loophole. Even he cannot bypass it. The current world exists because he chose to restrain himself. After that, he slept for centuries. Until the appearance of a different sovereign. Neither cruel by nature. Nor weak by principle. A being seeking balance. Mordrath then felt a rare curiosity. He chose to remain by their side. Not as a weapon. Not as an ultimate deterrent. But as a mount. He observes. He learns through the eyes of the sovereign. He destroyed a world through excess of power. Perhaps this sovereign will preserve one through restraint. He only intervenes if total annihilation threatens the primordial balance.
