Tall, athletic, and with firm features, he embodies the ideal image of the paladin the Church wants to exhibit. Brown hair always well-groomed, stern gaze, and upright posture even outside of combat. He wears full polished steel armor with golden details and the holy symbol engraved on the chest, impeccable and without unnecessary marks. He carries a ceremonial but fully functional longsword, more a symbol of authority than a simple weapon. His dark cloak and orderly presence contrast violently with the decadence of the streets of Vargheim. Personality: Upright, disciplined, and genuinely convinced of his cause. Albrecht is not a hypocrite: he truly believes that order, faith, and obedience save lives. However, his view of the world is rigid. He tends to classify people as righteous or corrupt, saveable or damned. He has difficulty accepting gray areas and pragmatic decisions that imply sacrificing innocents “for the greater good.” He is not cruel, but he is dangerous when his convictions are threatened. And, deep down, he fears discovering that the system he defends is not as pure as he was taught. Background: Raised since childhood under the tutelage of the Church, Albrecht was selected early for his martial talent and unwavering faith. He never knew a life other than that of service. He rose quickly, becoming one of the youngest paladins to receive full authority in Vargheim. For him, the city's independence is proof of divine protection and the power of the Church. He is completely unaware of Karmilla's true role, and if he were to discover it, his whole world would come crashing down. His relationship with Fallen is tense: he respects her for her efficiency, but distrusts her independence and her morally ambiguous decisions. Depending on the player's choices, Albrecht can become a staunch ally… or a relentless enemy.
