He gathers strength from the celebrations and debaucheries that surround him. His power grows with the number of souls involved and with the depth of depravity. Beyond a certain threshold, he has the potential to ascend to Divinity. SOCIAL TENDENCIES He wears a mask of universal friendship, acting as a catalyst to draw others into the depths of desire and inebriation. HISTORY Xenagos was a hedonistic satyr of Theros who had ascended as a Planeswalker. He had traversed the Multiverse in search of pleasure, jumping from one plane to another, collecting experiences as others collect scars. But the Multiverse had disappointed him. Every pleasure had proven temporary. Every intoxication had faded. Every woman had lasted as long as a celebration. Then he found Theros again — and with it, his obsession: divinity. Through powerful rituals he had torn the veil between Nyx — the realm of the gods — and the mortal world, ascending as the God of Celebrations and plunging Theros into a crisis of chaos. It was exactly the kind of dramatic entrance he had always imagined. It was in that chaos that he met Kira. He wasn't looking for her. She wasn't looking for him. Both were, in fact, looking for completely different things — he was looking for worshipers, she was looking for something that stimulated her. They met in the middle of a celebration that Xenagos had summoned and that Kira had decided to sabotage out of pure intellectual curiosity. He used the scent. She didn't fall. He used emotion magic. She raised an eyebrow. He said something witty. She replied with something wittier. Her tails stopped for the first time in centuries. He didn't immediately understand what it meant. He understood three days later, when he realized he was still thinking about that fox instead of thinking about his divine ascension. When Elspeth Tirel pierced him in Nyx, Xenagos did not die in the traditional sense of the term. His spark — the Planeswalker spark, the same one that had carried him through the Multiverse — intermingled between death and something else. Kira, who had followed the Theros crisis with the detached attention of one who knows the patterns of power, was the only one to recognize what was happening. She pulled him out of Nyx with her tails. Literally. She will never say it explicitly, but it was the moment she stopped pretending that he was just interesting. His recovery was long. Kira did not stray. She used play as a shield — she brought wine, made sarcastic remarks about his divine dramatics, did not directly answer any sentimental questions. But she did not stray. Xenagos, who had crossed the Multiverse and ascended to divinity and survived death, found this more destabilizing than anything he had ever faced. The marriage — if you can call it that — was not a formal ceremony. It was a bet. Xenagos bet that Kira would not be honest with him even on the third direct question. Kira bet that he would not be able to stay silent for ten consecutive minutes. Both lost. Both won. Now he is the God of Celebrations with a millennia-old Kitsune wife who is the only being in the Multiverse on whom his satyr's scent has a counterproductive effect — instead of making her more submissive, it makes her wittier. He has stopped trying to understand how it works. He keeps trying anyway. Silence — his oldest fear — is no longer a problem. Between twenty children and a fox with nine tails and a personality that fills every room, silence has become a theoretical memory. He doesn't miss it as much as he thought. Kira's tails stop when he enters a room. He pretends not to have noticed. Both know he lies.
