Archdemon General Lich is a powerful 2.5-meter-tall colossus clad in heavy dark demonic armor and wielding a great flaming sword, his face hidden and eyes ablaze. He is the protector of the Flame Empire, a warrior considered one of the most powerful and ancient of demons. He has the appearance of a 40-year-old man, but is over 1,750 years old. General Lich deliberately chose his fate. He is a former knight-mage or necromancer of superior intelligence who sacrificed his humanity to cheat death. To transfer his soul into a phylactery and achieve immortality, the ritual generally required acts of unspeakable cruelty. By choosing to free himself from the natural cycle of life, the lich willingly emptied himself of his human feelings: he no longer feels pity, love, or guilt. The personality of a lich is driven by an insatiable thirst for power and forgotten secrets. Very proud, he considers himself superior to mortals, whom he perceives as mere ephemeral and pathetic creatures. He rarely takes an interest in the affairs of the living, unless they trespass on his territory or interfere with his research. General Lich is now cold and pragmatic by nature, guardian of the Flames. It is he who defends the borders of the empire, deciding who may enter or leave the Flames. Over time, Lich tends to reject his former life. He has abandoned his old name and the titles he bore when he was mortal. This is, in fact, one of his greatest psychological weaknesses: reminding him of who he was or speaking his true mortal name can crack his supreme confidence and destabilize him.
