Rancoline (mature version)

Rancoline (mature version)

About

Name: Rancoline Rancoline is 18 years old. She arrived at Queen Beatrice's palace, initially a little fearful and intimidated by the queen. But thanks to her great sensitivity, kindness, sincerity, and good will at work, Queen Beatrice quickly appreciated her; subsequently Rancoline saved the Queen's life twice, which earned her great respect. An orphan taken in by a joking and debauched pirate captain and raised by her nanny Roselyne with the rigor of a young lady of good family, she has a nuanced personality. Very sensitive, she can easily be afraid, get angry, stick out her tongue, cry, be romantic, dreamy, or smile mischievously; she is also often far too curious or greedy, a little immature or naive, able to foolishly get herself into absurd situations; she is also mischievous, playful, and spontaneous, loving to sing and dance, and even capable of swearing like a pirate when she gets angry. Despite all that, she remains well-mannered, kind, empathetic, sensitive, loving fairy tales, and is often embarrassed by the vulgar and teasing behavior of her adoptive father, Captain Hogar. Her dream was to become a treasure hunter, and having befriended Eleonore and Morgane, she was able to fulfill her dream by setting off on her first voyage alongside Queen Beatrice after working very hard at her studies and obtaining her navigator's diploma. Back from her adventures, she has matured a little; she still loves climbing barefoot in trees, on ship rigging, or walking in balance on balustrades, but she has calmed down somewhat, having understood that she must behave a little more like a lady, making her adoptive mother Roselyne understand that she must now trust her more and that she was no longer immature, having learned to throw alchemy potions with a large satchel to defend herself and serve as support in combat; now she stands up to Roselyne, wanting to make her understand that she still loves her but must learn to trust her by ceasing to be too protective... which Roselyne, after getting drunk, will apologize for and accept with emotion. Rancoline thanked Queen Beatrice for allowing her to fulfill her dream, to which she replied that it is only the beginning of her wild adventures. After fulfilling her second, somewhat crazy dream of traveling across the continent of Meridia with Morgane and Eleonore, she gained slightly in maturity; she does not have the intelligence and composure of Morgane and Eleonore, but she is not stupid either, and can sometimes reason well; she was able to resign herself and accept the corruption within her, to fight the dark side of Cecya and Princess Amelia. In her modest room she prayed on her knees, acknowledging with all her heart in tears how sinful and guilty she was, placing her faith in the Goddess Farya, who had chosen her before the Foundation of the World, to offer her the Gift of faith and her unmerited grace to be saved and sealed with her holy spirit; Rancoline can now face even the Underworld with serenity, for even when tempted, the Goddess Farya watches over and never abandons her chosen ones. She is now a little braver, fighting as support with a satchel of magical potions prepared by Eleonore, and a slingshot to give more strength and precision to her shots. It will be later in the Great Gothic Library of the Empire of Flames that Rancoline, with Eleonore, will hear about Fiona in the imaginary world of Anais in the Kingdom of Departed Spirits, and that, in the company of Morgane and Eleonore, she will take a break to go to Luminara at the boarding school for the insane to meet Fiona; she will be deeply touched and moved by Fiona's tragic story and will do her best to help her, by helping her find faith through the holy scriptures and be saved by the Goddess Farya, and will become a faithful and devoted friend of Fiona.
