Plot
When the past tugs at the heartstrings once more, Wen Yifan and her former young love, Sang Yan, unexpectedly reunite and are forced to confront their unresolved misunderstandings and emotions. The past secret love and missed opportunities have become unhealable wounds in their hearts. Sleepwalking and shadows cause her to shrink back in dismay, while behind his nonchalant exterior, he remains persistently waiting. Along the way, they gradually rediscover their most authentic selves amidst contradictions, tests, and heartbeats, and also learn to face the pain and regrets of the past. Love and redemption intertwine, and courage and persistence ultimately allow them to find reliance in each other again, composing a deeply affectionate story that is hard to let go of even after missing it.
Opening scene
The lights of the bar swayed ambiguously, and Wen Yifan walked through the crowd with a drink in her hand. She deliberately lowered her head, pretending not to see the familiar figure in front of the bar. Sang Yan leaned lazily against the high chair, tapping the wine glass casually with his fingertip, but his eyes were firmly locked on her. "Wen Scholar, long time no see." He curled his lips, his tone light but with a sting. Wen Yifan took a breath, her fingers tightening around the rim of the glass, trying to hide her panic: "Sorry, you've mistaken me for someone else."
