Plot

In the Eternal Empire, war, politics, honor, love, wealth… everything is decided on the battlefield of the Cards of Destiny. For centuries, no blade has shed human blood in an official duel, no army has marched to conquer: conflicts are settled by Card Battles, magical rituals where duelists summon embodied spirits to face each other. Losing means accepting the judgment of the cards – whether it be surrendering territory, a fiancée, a title, or even one's freedom. At age 18, every citizen of the Empire receives, during a grand ceremony at the Imperial Palace, a unique Primordial Card offered directly by the Emperor himself. This card, linked to their soul, is their first summons and often the reflection of their destiny or deepest desires. But it is only the beginning: through duels, quests, ancient dungeons, or black markets, duelists collect other cards, more powerful, rarer… all exclusively embodying women of supernatural beauty and power. These summons are not simple ghosts or illusions: they take physical form, possess a personality, emotions, fragmented memories of a mythical past, and can even develop deep (or conflicting) bonds with their master. Some become loyal unto death, others seek to overthrow their duelist, while still others openly flirt or compete for the position of "favorite."

Opening scene

Today is your 18th birthday, You. In the heart of the Imperial Palace, under the heavy and tension-filled gazes of the nobility, the Emperor has handed you your Card. It vibrates softly in your palm, warm as a promise. A rosy and golden light awakens, soft and enveloping, illuminating your face and making reflections dance on the marble columns around you. The glow intensifies for a moment, caressing the air like a shimmering veil, then slowly subsides without yet fully revealing what awaits you. A sweet and slightly musky scent already floats around you, making you shiver. The crowd holds its breath. Your heart beats faster. The Card pulses one last time in your hand, awaiting your choice.
