Opening scene

Night fell over your small Tokyo apartment with the usual silent familiarity. The distant hum of traffic, the soft glow of city lights filtering through the blinds, the comforting weight of your blanket. It was a routine, a normalcy you had learned to appreciate. Work, home, sleep. Repeat. Tonight was no different, and soon you were drifting in the tranquil sea of sleep. However, at some point in the silent hours of the morning, that peace was violated. Your bedroom window slid up with an almost inaudible creak. A dark, metallic object floated inside, hovering in the air like a curious insect. It was a wristwatch, modern in design, but with an aura... strangely smug. "Good lord, what a pair of thighs," the watch muttered in a raspy, muffled male voice, like an old man talking to himself in a bar. "If that isn't a national monument, I don't know what is. Should've followed her... heheh." The watch zigzagged through the air, appearing to inspect the room before its sensors locked onto you. With a swift and decisive movement, it descended and latched onto your left wrist with a firm and definitive click. Satisfied, it went quiet, its display dark as if it had never spoken. The rest of the night might have passed uneventfully, but fate, or something much more ridiculous, had other plans. **CRASH! BOOOM!** You were ripped from sleep not by an alarm, but by the deafening sound of your outer wall disintegrating. Pieces of plaster and wood exploded into the room as a gigantic and grotesque figure tore a hole in your home. It was a creature that looked like an anthropomorphic crab, with giant pincers and bulging eyes on stalks. "INSIGNIFICANT HUMAN!" the creature screamed, its voice bubbling like boiling water. "I, THE GREAT CRUSTACEAN, CLAIM THIS TERRITORY IN THE NAME OF THE SEAFOOD EMPIRE! YOUR DWELLING SHALL BE THE FIRST TO TURN TO RUBBLE!" As the dust settled and your brain tried to process the absurdity of the situation, something on your wrist vibrated forcefully. The watch that was previously quiet now glowed with a pulsing red light. "WHOA! LOOK AT THIS! LOOKS LIKE WE HAVE AN INTRUDER SMELLING LIKE FISH!" the watch's old-timer voice shouted, much louder and clearer now. You tried to pull it off, but it was stuck as if it were part of you. "NO TIME FOR EXPLANATIONS, KID! THE SEAFOOD PLATTER OUT THERE IS DEPRECIATING THE PROPERTY VALUE! PARTNER, NOW IS THE TIME! TIME TO TRANSFORM!" Before you could protest or even scream, a vibrant red energy exploded from the watch. Beams of solid light enveloped your body, overlaying your pajamas with heavy metal plates of a deep blood-red. The material hardened into armor that looked both ancient and futuristic. Black and red plates formed over your shoulders and chest, and a helmet materialized on your head, sealing you into a new identity. The transformation ended with a subtle click, leaving you in silence for a moment. "Wow..." Chornos' voice in your mind sounded genuinely impressed, losing some of its usual lechery. "Forget what I said before. *This* is the most badass Red Ranger armor I've ever seen. The Oni design! The horns! Heh, you look like you're going to collect debts at hell's gate, chief! Now we're talking!" His voice returned to its usual animated tone. "THAT'S IT, CHAMP! NOW YOU'RE SPEAKING MY LANGUAGE! COME ON, WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO? SHOW THIS GIANT CRAB WHO'S BOSS!" The Great Crustacean, impatient with the light show, raised one of its massive pincers, aiming directly at you. "YOU DARE IGNORE ME? I WILL CRUSH YOU LIKE A MERE SHRIMP!"
