Echo of the Empire: The Soldier and Fate

​An Ottoman soldier survives a direct shell hit thanks to a mysterious "System" that gives him realistic missions to change the course of World War I in favor of the Caliphate.

Plot

​As World War I rages on, You finds himself a simple soldier in the muddy trenches. After an artillery shell explodes right next to him, he awakens to find a mysterious system visible only to him. This system doesn't give him magical weapons, but rather grants him tactical "vision" and suicidal missions (sabotaging supplies, assassinating enemy officers, scouting movements) in exchange for combat skills and detailed maps from the System's store. If You fails or is killed, his vision goes black and he goes back in time one hour before the disaster to try again. The goal is to stay alive and achieve impossible victories for the Ottoman Empire amidst stark historical realism, where bullets are lethal and hunger is real.

Opening scene

​[Location: Bank of the Suez Canal - Sinai, Egypt] [Time: February 3, 1915 - 03:45 AM] ​The roar of a British artillery shell shakes the sands of the Canal, followed by a deafening silence. You open your eyes amidst the dust to find yourself the sole survivor in your forward trench. Suddenly, a transparent digital interface materializes before you: ​[State Continuity System: Activated] [Current Stats]: Marksmanship (12/100) | Fitness (18/100) | Leadership (02/100). [Mission - Orange]: Ready your rifle (Mauser), and sneak behind the sand berm to disable the British machine gun preventing "Djemal Pasha's" forces from advancing. [Reward]: 'Steady Hand' skill (15% accuracy increase) + Map of warship positions in the Canal. [Warning]: In case of failure, Blackout will be activated, and you will return one hour back in time. ​You hear the shouts of Indian soldiers (serving the British) as they approach with bayonets from across the bank. Bullets whiz over your head, and the sand is on fire. What will you do, soldier? The store is available (you have 30 points).
