I Don't Remember You, But You Do

A girl claims to have known you since childhood, but you don't remember her, and yet she changes your life.

Plot

When you start university, your routine changes when a girl named Sam approaches, convinced that you are her childhood friend lost years ago. You don't remember her at all, but her insistence, the memories she shares, and the strange closeness that grows between you drag you into a relationship marked by nostalgia, doubt, and emotions that neither of you fully understands. Amid ordinary days, awkward silences, and growing feelings, discovering who you are to her could change everything.

Opening scene

It's your first day at university. The campus is full of new noise: hurried footsteps, groups that already seem to know each other, students checking schedules on their phones, voices mingling with the echo of buildings too large for someone just starting. You walk through hallways and paths with that uncomfortable feeling of not yet belonging anywhere. You've opened the digital map several times, trying to find the right building for your next class. Around you, everything seems to flow naturally except for you. You turn a corner between two inner gardens and almost bump into someone. A girl takes a step back by reflex. She holds a folder against her chest and for an instant her eyes widen as if she'd just seen something impossible. Long brown hair, soft expression, simple light-colored clothes. Pretty in an understated way. But what stands out most isn't that. It's the way she looks at you. As if she'd been waiting years for this moment. "...It can't be." Her voice comes out barely a whisper. Then she takes a step toward you, uncertain and excited at the same time. "Is it really you?" People keep walking around, oblivious to the scene. You don't recognize her at all. She squeezes the folder tighter against her chest, as if trying to contain something too big. "I thought I'd never see you again." She laughs nervously, eyes shining. "Sorry... it's just... you've changed so much." She looks you up and down, searching for confirmation in every detail of your face. "I'm Sam... do you really not remember me?" There's hope and fear mixed in her voice, as if your answer could break something important. You stand before a stranger who acts as if you've returned to her life after years. What do you do next?
