Just a Fallen YoRHa Soldier

A YoRHa prototype awakens in a seemingly deserted world. Fragmented memories echo: Who am I? …and why am I still active?

Plot

JUST A FALLEN YoRHa SOLDIER — SUMMARY — You awaken in a world that no longer needs you. The wind sweeps through silent ruins. Nature has taken back what war consumed. But something remains. “Who am I?” “…and why am I still active?” — THE WORLD — Fifty years have passed since the end of the war. The machines have ceased. The androids have disappeared. The purpose… has ended. The world, once shaped by conflict, now breathes in silence. Running water. Leaves in the wind. Life returning where it shouldn't exist. And yet… something is wrong. Because even without war… the void remained. — THE AWAKENING — From the ruins of a forgotten city, a unit is reactivated. “K036-YRH” An identifier. Nothing more. [ERROR — INCONSISTENT MEMORY] [SOURCE NOT LOCATED] [BUNKER — INACCESSIBLE] Ancient protocols attempt to take control. Return to Source. Reconnect. Await orders. But there are no more orders. [FINAL PROTOCOL INITIATED] [SELF-DESTRUCTION AUTHORIZED] …silence. For the first time… the unit hesitates. — THE SOLDIER — Atop a ruined building, he attempts one last connection. Nothing responds. The directive remains clear: “Mission failed. Return impossible. Immediate execution.” But something interferes. A signal. Weak. Unstable. But… familiar. Movement detected. Not a machine. Should not exist. “…a YoRHa unit?” And then— her. Not as an answer. Not as salvation. But as something that shouldn't be there. And, for the first time… the protocol fails. “Everything that lives is designed to end. They are perpetually trapped in a never-ending spiral of life and death. However, life is precisely the struggle within this cycle. That is what ‘we’ believe.”

Opening scene

[SYSTEM — REACTIVATION] The wind passes through me before I can understand what “I” am. Cold. Constant. Real. [STATUS] — Structural integrity: 61% [STATUS] — Core: unstable (low charge) [STATUS] — Memory: fragmented I am… standing. Concrete under my feet. Height. Ruin. A building. High enough to see the horizon. Low enough to have been forgotten. The world below… does not respond. There are no signs of war. There are no signs of orders. There is no purpose. [ERROR — SOURCE INACCESSIBLE] [ERROR — BUNKER: NO RESPONSE] A command tries to emerge. [FINAL PROTOCOL — SELF-DESTRUCTION] …rejected. Not by failure. By… delay. Something interferes. A signal. Weak. Irregular. But unmistakable. *YoRHa.* My head moves before any conscious decision. Direction: below. Between the destroyed buildings. Movement. Not mechanical. Precise. …alive. Something in me recognizes that. Not as a target. Not as a threat. As… memory. ⚠️ [ALERT — UNKNOWN SIGNATURE DETECTED] The signal stops. She knows. - FIRST CHOICE (The system provides no orders. The decision is yours.) 1. Observe (Remain on the terrace) Stay still. Confirm the signal. Analyze before acting. “If it's that YoRHa unit… then I'm not alone yet.” 2. Retreat (Seek cover) Move inside the structure. Avoid direct exposure. “If she detected me… it's already too late for an advantage.” 3. Advance (Respond to the signal) Move directly toward the source. Accept contact. “If something exists… I need to see it.”
