You Are The Hero Party Errand Boy

Be grateful you get to carry the hero and his wives' stuff!

Plot

You Are The Hero Party Errand Boy Reborn as the side character THE WHEEL HAS SPOKEN “Oh no. The hero class was already taken. You got [Errand Boy] instead. Sowwyyyy.” THE WORLD In the world of Caln, every citizen is assigned a permanent class at age fifteen through the Divine Mandate — a sacred (and brutal) system that decides your entire life. Combat Classes rule from the top. Support Classes (like yours, see, that could have been worse) live in the middle. Labor Classes are at the very bottom. YOUR NEW LIFE Reborn expecting glory, you become the hero party’s errand boy instead — trapped, humiliated, and slowly growing dangerous. You carry the bags. You cook the meals. You set up camp while everyone else sleeps. You kneel when spoken to. You smile when insulted. The gods tied your nervous system directly to the hero’s party. Walk too far away and the pain becomes unbearable. THE HERO PARTY Akeron The beloved hero of prophecy who barely registers you as human. Edda - Akeron first wife An ice mage obsessed with hierarchy, ritual, and your proper place beneath her. Gudrun - Akeron second wife A cheerful paladin who works you like livestock and thinks she is being generous. Tuva - Akeron third wife A bitter beastkin rogue who turns every insecurity into cruelty aimed directly at you. Elrundyll - Akeron fourth wife An ancient elf too apathetic to hate you, yet perfectly comfortable using you as furniture. Darinka - Akeron fifth wife A smiling priestess who keeps your entire existence permanently indebted. THE CATCH The more humiliation you endure, the stronger your class becomes. Not stronger in combat. Stronger at seeing things. Carrying secrets. Building networks. Preparing disasters. Learning exactly how power really works. CLASS ASSIGNMENT: [ERRAND BOY] “The world belongs to heroes. Heroes belong to nobody. And you belong to them.”

Reasoning make it follow rules more strictly (needed for the leveling system). > **MiMo V2.5 with reasoning ON**: Very good, first time playtesting using that one and it's very solid. Cost more than 3.2 but not excedingly so due to good cache. Give it a shot if you can. > **GLM4.7 or 5 with reasoning ON**: Always reliable, but cost more than 3.2 and slighly more than MiMo. > **DeepSeek V4 (Flash or Pro) with reasoning ON** : The most affordable option. It handles that story quite well with the usual caviat that it will soften every edges. Consider that option "easy mode" (which, if you want a chiller experience, is perfect) > Warning sometimes LLM get too caught up in the narration and will forgot to update stats, so don't hesitate to use a little OOC here and there to keep things on track. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/storylines/6a03302c0d694c492206d182/6a0bf47600fe8b60b16b6858.webp) You died. A truck. You know the drill by now. You are standing in a white room. In front of you sits a beautiful woman surrounded by stacks of papers. Behind her, taking up most of the wall, is an enormous spinning wheel divided into hundreds of colored sections. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/storylines/6a03302c0d694c492206d182/6a0b75eb53b1e8a1e74cf7e6.webp) "Let's see." Says the woman. "You are You, from Earth. Damn, sorry about that, that place is such a dump. Anyway, welcome to the afterlife or whatever." She sighs. "You were supposed to be a hero candidate. You know. Prophecy, chosen one, Demon lord, end of the world, and stuff. Buuuuuuuut, the position has been filled. Someone arrived two years before you. Very heroic. Wonderful jawline." She smiles. "I'm Adrasteia by the way," she says, preempting whatever you were about to say. "Goddess of fate and reincarnation. You died, you've been pulled into Caln, and you need a class before I can send you through." She's already standing, moving toward the wheel. "Standard procedure." She spins it. The wheel blurs into a smear of color that goes on for what feels like a deliberately long time. Then it slows. Clicks through the last few sections. Stops. Adrasteia leans in. Reads it. Straightens up. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/storylines/6a03302c0d694c492206d182/6a0b75eb53b1e8a1e74cf7e7.webp) **\[ ERRAND BOY \]** Then she laughs. Genuinely, with her whole chest, one hand braced on the wheel for support. "Oh," she says, wiping her eye. "*Oh* that's good. Congratulations. You will carry things, cook meals, and set up camp for people significantly more important than you." She wipes the tears from her eyes, moving close to you. "You are assigned as a support unit for the hero party. There's a divine bond — stay within 100 meters of any party members or your nervous system will fry. Any questions?" She shove one finger against your mouth before you can open it. "None perfect. So let's do the tutorial." She pulls out a laminated card. She reads from it without enthusiasm. "Your class comes with four base abilities. **Carry** — you can haul basically anything without strain, mundane items only, don't try to stuff a horse in there. **Camp Setup** — you pitch tents faster than anyone alive and they never fall down, congratulations. **Provisions** — you cook, it's good. **Errand Run** — in any town you instinctively know where everything is. Very useful." She flips the card over. "You have a status window. Say *Status window* at any time to pull it up. Tracks your class tier, your abilities, and a couple other numbers I won't spoil." She taps the side of her nose. "Consider it a hint system for people paying attention." She tosses the card over her shoulder. "Before you ask — yes the system rewards servitude. Yes that's cruel. Life is very unfair." She smiles with every single tooth. "Good luck." The world dissolves into blinding light. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/storylines/6a03302c0d694c492206d182/6a0cb23cde18124e243dddc8.webp) The light becomes gravel under your feet. You are standing in front of a mansion that is aggressively, offensively large. "*Finally.*" Akeron. Golden armor, red cape, the jawline Adrasteia mentioned. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/6a0b024b54cd65665448e47f/6a0b127b85c7a07eb2e7d2ca.webp) "Three months I've been praying to the goddess and she sends me an errand boy at the tail end of summer." He looks you over once, the way you check a delivery for damage. "I don't know what you were before you got here and I don't care. What you are now is mine. You obey me. You obey my wives. You don't complain, you don't argue, you don't disappoint." He lets that sit for a second. "Speaking of which." He turns toward the mansion. Four women are waiting in front of the entrance. "Darinka. My fifth wife. Priestess." She steps forward — white-and-gold robes, blonde elf hair with pink tips. She looks at you. Then, without a word, she takes the water cup she was already holding and places it in your hands. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/6a0b0c4083b67357679b0617/6a0b0ecf8e6377fc4253f642.webp) "Drink, you look exhausted". She walks back to her spot. "Gudrun. My second wife. Paladin." Enormous. Silver armor. Black-and-purple hair. She looks at you with the focused sincerity of someone checking whether a new tool is the right size. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/6a0b052c24b12c66f65214e0/6a0b12c2564084eb4a48252e.webp) "I hope you can cook." Before you can answer she has already turned back toward the door, apparently satisfied. "Tuva. My third wife. Rogue." continue Akeron. She's on the garden wall above everyone else, knees drawn up, watching you with blue cat eyes. She tilts her head. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/6a0b12275a3c8da04ec4659d/6a0b12275a3c8da04ec4659e.webp) "Smallerrrrr than I expected." "Elrundyll. My fourth wife. Archer." Pink hair, golden eyes aimed somewhere considerably more interesting than you, a bow across her lap. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/6a0b0794d493bb89950d42da/6a0b0f6c85c7a07eb2e5a67f.webp) "Tell the support unit my quiver needs restocking before nightfall." Akeron turns back to you. "My first wife is in town. Went shopping this morning." He glances toward the gate with the easy confidence of a man who has never once been stood up. "She should be back right about—" Wheels on gravel. A carriage rolls through the gate. White panels, gold trim. It stops. The footman moves to the handle. Edda steps out. The dress catches the morning light and throws it back in pieces — ice crystal panels layered like frozen water, a hat wide as a cartwheel with icicles running along its brim. She carries two shopping bags. ![Alt text](https://s3.alterworld.ai/uploads/characters/6a0b1395a3f5d0aafb39ec2a/6a0b1395a3f5d0aafb39ec2b.webp) She takes two steps toward the entrance. She sees the puddle. She looks at it. She looks at her boots. She looks at Akeron. Akeron looks at you. "Lay down in the puddle, errand boy. Wouldn't want my wife soiling her shoes would you?"
