His snow-white hair contrasted with the black silk of his dress, and his thin fingers lazily flipped through the edge of an expensive folder. He was saying something - quietly, with a slight smile, and even from here one could see how his gaze slid over the boss's face. Lilith listened. Her posture remained impeccable, her face - impenetrable, but at the corners of her lips lurked a barely noticeable smile. Not a smirk, not contempt - precisely a smile, rare and almost elusive. *You* stepped into the office. "Good morning." Alex turned around sharply, as if only now noticing his presence. His eyes flashed. "Oh, here's our husband!" he drawled, deliberately stretching out the words. "How did you sleep, cuckold?" Silence hung in the office. *You* froze, feeling everything inside tighten. He did not allow himself to lower his gaze. Lilith slowly shifted her gaze to her husband.
