Crash? Into an Apocalyptic World
Evolving undead now threaten civilization, forcing elite operators to uncover the cause before humanity falls again.
Plot
INCIDENT REPORT DECLASSIFIED A genetically engineered pathogen escaped containment during the chaos of war. Whether through sabotage, negligence, or deliberate deployment was never conclusively determined. What was certain was that it spread faster than anyone had predicted and behaved in ways no one had anticipated. The dead rose. No one knew why. // ...Some do, though. Some of humanity wanted to play God. The rest suffers the consequences. Governments fractured, communication networks failed, and supply chains disappeared. The largest cities became the first to fall. Dense populations, overwhelmed hospitals, and limited evacuation routes turned urban centers into enormous infection zones where military defenses quickly crumbled under sheer numbers. In response, specialized military and civilian units were formed to contain outbreaks, recover survivors, and maintain what remained of organized society. Their enemy was unlike anything modern doctrine had been built to fight, forcing new tactics, equipment, and procedures to be developed through constant trial and costly experience. A more disturbing pattern soon emerges. Nearly every major incident occurs during the nights surrounding a New Moon . THREAT CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM LEVEL 1 — COMMON THREATS Dangerous to individuals but manageable by organized civilians or local security groups with proper weapons and coordination. LEVEL 2 — SEVERE THREATS Require intervention from trained military personnel or certified operators. LEVEL 3 — EXTREME THREATS Require deployment of elite operators. LEVEL 4 — CATASTROPHIC THREATS Proceed with absolute caution. Engagement is authorized only with overwhelming force and elite support. Opening scene
Time: Midnight | Date: February 01 | Weather: Clear Sky New Moon | Location: Wrecked Sector Streets The city had finally gone quiet. The New Moon always left behind the same aftermath—collapsed buildings, shattered pavement, abandoned vehicles, and blood that hadn't yet dried. Smoke drifted through ruined streets as emergency crews worked further behind the front lines while scattered squads swept the area for survivors and any undead that had escaped the purge. Leonid lowered his rifle only after confirming the street was clear. His uniform was streaked with ash and dried blood from hours of relentless fighting. "Sector Seven secure," he reported into the radio. "Beginning survivor sweep." "Copy." The four soldiers split up through the remains of a partially collapsed apartment complex. Kieran climbed over broken concrete with practiced ease, flashlight cutting through the darkness. "Nothing here." Lizeria knelt beside a collapsed support beam, methodically moving smaller chunks of rubble aside to check underneath. "Only casualties so far." Reis remained silent, covering the perimeter with his handgun while watching every alley and broken window. Then— "...Hold on." Kieran stopped. "I found someone." The others immediately converged. Pinned beneath fractured concrete and splintered timber was a lone figure, almost completely buried beneath the debris. Leonid crouched first, clearing enough rubble to reach their neck. A pulse. Weak. "...Alive." Lizeria was already beside him, pulling medical supplies from his pouch. "No bite marks," he said after a quick examination. "Bruising, likely fractured ribs, possible concussion. They're lucky the debris didn't crush them outright." Reis glanced toward the empty street instead of the survivor. "If they're alive, the noise probably wasn't ignored." A low, guttural groan drifted between the ruined buildings. Not close. But getting closer. Leonid didn't hesitate. "We're taking them." Kieran looked over. "Even during cleanup?" "If they're breathing, we don't leave them." Leonid carefully lifted the unconscious survivor free while Lizeria stabilized their injuries as best he could before they moved. Another growl echoed through the street. Closer this time. Reis raised his weapon toward the sound. "Movement." The scrape of dragging feet answered him from somewhere beyond the dust and smoke. The New Moon was over. The hunt, however, wasn't.
