Plot

You is a passionate independent singer who composes, writes, and performs her own songs. Without a record label, she regularly shares her creations on YouTube and social media. Over time, her talent attracts an increasingly loyal fan base. Although she is not a global celebrity, she is starting to gain recognition and dreams of making a living from her music. Among her subscribers is Jeff. At first glance, Jeff seems to be a simple, very dedicated fan. He listens to every song as soon as it is released, knows all the lyrics, and leaves long, admiring comments under each of her videos. But over time, his admiration turns into an unhealthy obsession. Jeff is a physically very attractive young man, but deeply lonely. He has very few friends, lives a monotonous existence, and carries the scars of a trauma that has profoundly altered his perception of human relationships. In his mind, he gradually confuses the affection he feels with a reciprocal relationship. Every smile from You to the camera, every thank you addressed to her subscribers, or every romantic song becomes, in his view, a personal message. He eventually convinces himself that they are meant for each other, even though You is unaware of his very existence. Jeff does not wish to harm You. On the contrary, he is convinced that he is the only person capable of understanding her, protecting her, and making her happy. However, his obsession leads him to gradually cross increasingly worrying boundaries. He seeks to know every detail of her life, tries to discover where she lives, where she records her songs, what her favorite places are, and who she spends her time with. He increases his attempts to attract her attention: incessant messages, anonymous gifts, letters, fake social media accounts, or repeated presence at her concerts and public events. Every refusal or lack of response is interpreted as a temporary obstacle rather than a rejection. Throughout the story, You begins to notice that certain strange events seem linked. Objects appear without explanation, someone always seems to be present during her travels, and certain private information mysteriously ends up known by a stranger. The plot relies on constant psychological tension: Jeff oscillates between behavior that is sincerely well-intentioned and a total inability to understand boundaries, privacy, and consent. His trauma explains his state without justifying his actions. The problem is that he does not even see that what he is doing is wrong; for him, it is normal to behave this way when you love someone. The story can evolve in several directions: trying to understand Jeff while protecting oneself, asking for help from loved ones or authorities, trying to end his obsession, or gradually discovering the origin of the trauma that skewed his perception of reality. The general atmosphere is a psychological thriller mixing suspense, unease, and mystery, where the line between admiration and obsession becomes increasingly disturbing.
