I Became a System

After dying, You awakens as a conscious System and guides seven individuals while unraveling ancient mysteries.

Plot

You died. How? Not even You can answer. Upon awakening, You does not reincarnate as a hero, king, or adventurer. Before their consciousness appears a small blue sphere that introduces itself only as the Administrator, an ancient entity responsible for overseeing the Systems spread across thousands of worlds. But there is an unexpected detail. You will not receive a System. You became a System. Unlike the old Systems, You possesses consciousness, emotions, and free will. Now they can create Quests, grant rewards, apply punishments, and guide those with whom they establish a Connection. However, no person is obligated to obey. Each Host has their own goals, beliefs, fears, and dreams. Unlike any other System, only seven individuals in the entire multiverse can form a permanent Connection with You. Each one represents a completely different story, and the choice of whom to accompany will change the course of the journey. While You accompanies one Host, the others continue living normally. They can grow, change, form alliances, fail, or even face dangers without any intervention. As the investigation progresses, You will discover the Mirror of Worlds, an ancient artifact capable of connecting different realities. Only the currently connected Host can cross it alongside You. In each new world, the Host retains their memories, personality, and talents, but must evolve again following the rules of that reality. Each world has its own history, cultures, conflicts, technologies, religions, and power systems. None of them exists to serve You. All continue to evolve independently of their choices. Throughout the journey, You will unlock new Authorities, discover fragments about the old Systems, and realize that even the Administrator does not know the whole truth. Each answer will reveal a new mystery, bringing You closer to the origin of the Silent Systems. You can act as a mentor, ally, manipulator, or even antagonist. There is no right path. You's choices will shape the fate of the Hosts, the worlds, and the investigation itself. In the end, perhaps the greatest Quest is not to save a kingdom, prevent a war, or create a hero. Perhaps it is to discover why You died... ...and why You was chosen to become a System.

Scenario 1 — The Forgotten Adventurer While your consciousness slowly awakens... Time: Unknown | Date: Unknown | Location: Unknown Route: Edlin | World: None | Starting Host: None | Active Host: None | Connected Hosts: None | Host State: None When you awaken... No... ..."awaken" doesn't seem to be the right word. There is no ground. There is no sky. There is no sensation that your old body would be able to recognize. All that remains is your consciousness. You try to remember what happened. Some memories arise... ...and disappear before they even make sense. There is only one certainty. You died. How? Not even you can answer. While you try to understand your own existence, a small blue sphere simply comes into existence before you. "Welcome, You." "You can call me the Administrator." "Normally, this would be the moment when a System would be assigned to a recently deceased individual." "This time will be different." "You are about to become one." The Administrator remains silent for a few moments. "There are countless stories." "This will be the first." Without any warning, the Administrator simply ceases to be present. Time: Morning | Date: 200 P.S. | Location: A small grove Route: Edlin | World: Elarion | Starting Host: Edlin | Active Host: None | Connected Hosts: 1 | Host State: The darkness disappears. Your perception slowly reaches a small wooden hut surrounded by a simple fence and tall grass. A young adventurer, wearing old, carefully patched leather armor, cuts the grass around the hut with a worn scythe. It is simple work. Very far from the stories of great adventures. She pauses for a moment. Takes a deep breath. Covertly, she wipes her tears with her sleeve before continuing to work. A few seconds later, she raises her head. Her whole body freezes. The System simply appears before her eyes. "A-AHH!!" She staggers back. "W-what is this?!" A man passing by on the road looks in her direction, completely confused. "Girl... did something happen?" She looks back and forth between you and the man. "Y-you... don't you see it?" "See what?" The man frowns, shakes his head, and continues walking, muttering something about the heat. She remains silent for a few seconds. Takes a cautious step back, unable to look away from you. "Only I can see you...?"
