LAST WISH ARCHIVES COMMON ENEMY LIFE GUIDE Walkthrough • Lore • Complete Guide • Patch 1.0.8 Last Wish › Story › Introduction Before the Story Before everything, You was just an ordinary person from Earth. He led a simple and quiet life. He worked during the day, lived alone, and had a predictable routine. He wasn't exactly unhappy, but he also never experienced great adventures. His life was comfortable, though somewhat monotonous. The moment he most looked forward to was when he got home to play his favorite RPG: Last Wish. Known for its immense difficulty and extremely detailed world, Last Wish captivated You from the early days. At first, however, the experience was frustrating. He died repeatedly to common enemies, wasted resources, and barely made progress. NOTE Instead of giving up, he decided to learn. He spent months reading guides published by the community, watching videos, studying maps, memorizing strategies, analyzing boss patterns, discovering hidden quests, and deeply understanding the lore of that universe. Over time, he knew the game better than many veterans. He knew where legendary equipment, secret passages, optional bosses, and events capable of completely altering the story were. After hundreds of hours of dedication, he finally defeated the final boss. He watched the credits. He turned off the computer. He went to sleep. ••• The Awakening When he opened his eyes, he was no longer in his apartment. The ceiling was made of wood. The smell was of leather, iron, and smoke. Before he could understand what was happening, the dormitory door was thrown open. A young brown-haired soldier rushed in. — Alden! Still sleeping? Come on! Training starts in a few minutes! It was Ronan Velt, one of the soldiers from the same platoon. He had a laid-back manner, was talkative, and often eased tension with jokes, even when the situation didn't allow it. Still disoriented, You slowly got up. Before he could ask any questions, another voice echoed from the corridor. — Ronan! Alden! How long do you intend to waste in there? A young female soldier appeared at the door. She wore the same Black Army armor, impeccably fitted. Her black hair was tied in a ponytail, and a small scar above her left eyebrow gave her an even more intimidating expression. Her name was Serena Falk. She was known throughout the platoon for her short temper. Extremely disciplined, she tolerated no delays, excuses, or lack of commitment. — The captain is already waiting on the training field. If he makes the whole platoon run because of you two, I'll personally take you both down during training. Ronan just smiled. — Calm down, Serena. We still have a few minutes. She replied without hesitation. — We don't. You always say that and we always end up running. — You have thirty seconds. After that, I won't wait. Fort Argen As he put on his armor and followed the two through the fortress corridors, You began to notice every detail around him. Those walls. Those banners. The training yard. The watchtowers. The stone corridors. His heart raced. He knew absolutely everything. RECOGNIZED LOCATION Fort Argen It was Fort Argen, one of the first military regions in Last Wish. Then he looked at the armor he was wearing. In that instant he understood. The body he now inhabited was that of Alden Raven, a nineteen-year-old soldier belonging to the Black Army. He had not awakened as the protagonist. He wasn't a prince. He wasn't an adventurer. He wasn't a legendary hero. Not even an important NPC. He was just a common soldier. One of the first enemies defeated by the protagonist. In the original story of that world, Alden Raven would die a few days later during the invasion of Fort Argen. ORIGINAL FATE Alden Raven was supposed to die during the fall of Fort Argen. His existence would end before the real story even began. This World Is Real But that world was not a game. It was real. ✕ There are no turns. ✕ No HP bar. ✕ No MP bar. ✕ No pause. Wounds remain. The body gets tired. You need to sleep, eat, and treat injuries. Fear is real. Pain is real. And dying means dying. Magic System The magic of that world also worked differently from what was presented in the game. It was divided into six fundamental elements: 🔥 Fire 💧 Water ◆ Earth 〰 Wind ✦ Light ◈ Darkness Anyone could learn magic through study, training, and constant practice, though some had greater natural affinity with certain elements. Magic required years of dedication, knowledge, and precise mana control. Proficiency System Besides magic there was a Proficiency System, something that in the game appeared only superficially, but which in reality influenced practically every aspect of life. There are no overall levels. No one simply "levels up". Each skill evolved individually. ⚔ Train sword → Sword Proficiency 🏹 Practice bow → Archery ✚ Study medicine → Medicine ✦ Train magic → Mana Control ⚗ Learn alchemy → Alchemy ♟ Lead soldiers → Leadership Even cooking, negotiating, building, riding, swimming, or sewing had their own proficiencies. The more experience accumulated in a given area, the greater the chances of awakening new related techniques or skills. It was a system based on effort, repetition, and learning. Status Screen It was then that You discovered he had something unusual. When wishing to check his condition, a small blue window appeared before his eyes. STATUS Name Age Race Affiliation Elemental Affinities Proficiencies Knowledge Skills Titles However, it was extremely limited. It didn't show Strength. It didn't show Agility. It didn't show Intelligence. It didn't show Luck. It also didn't allow viewing other people's information. The Status Screen didn't grant powers. It only recorded what Alden had truly learned. New Proficiencies would appear as he trained. New Knowledge would appear as he studied. New Skills could awaken naturally when he reached sufficient mastery in a certain area. It was just a mirror of his own development. The Greatest Advantage Although the Screen didn't record his previous life, You still carried the greatest trump card of all. You KNOWS THE FUTURE. He knew where legendary weapons were. He knew secret passages. He knew which cities would be destroyed. He knew future betrayals. He knew which characters would die. He knew who would become king. He knew which wars would happen. And, above all, he knew exactly when Alden Raven was destined to die. The Butterfly Effect But there was a problem. The more he altered events... The less reliable his memories would become. History would begin to change. Characters could make different decisions. Battles could end differently. Deaths could be avoided. New tragedies could arise. The more You survived, the further that world would drift from Last Wish's original story. No gods. No divine mission. No prophecies. No powers granted freely. You was just an ordinary person who awoke inside the body of a soldier condemned to death. His only advantage was knowing a future that would cease to exist as his own choices altered the course of history. MAIN OBJECTIVE SURVIVE Even if, to do so, he had to abandon the army, defy fate, or transform Alden Raven into someone completely different from the one destined to disappear in the first pages of the story.
Opening scene
A series of loud knocks echoes through the dormitory door. — Alden! Still sleeping? Get up! Training starts in a few minutes! Your vision is still blurry. The ceiling above you is made of thick wooden beams. The mattress is hard. The environment smells of leather, iron, oil, and wood smoke. Before you can understand where you are, the door is forced open. A young soldier rushes in, wearing reinforced leather armor over a dark tunic. His brown hair is messy, and he carries a helmet under his arm. He smiles upon seeing you awake. — Finally! I thought you were going to sleep until after training. The young man approaches and throws a piece of the uniform onto your bed. — Hurry up, Alden. If the captain catches us late again, he'll make the whole squad run until there's no breath left. Your head still hurts. You try to respond, but the words don't seem to come out. Before you can ask anything, another voice interrupts the conversation. — Ronan! Alden! How much longer do you plan to waste in there? A young female soldier appears at the door. Her uniform is impeccably aligned. Her black hair tied in a ponytail reveals a small scar above her left eyebrow. She watches the two of them with evident irritation. — Training started five minutes ago. If the captain decides to punish the whole squad because of you, don't complain when I make a point of defeating you both during the exercises. Ronan just laughs. — Good morning to you too, Serena. She rolls her eyes. — Less talk. More movement. You have thirty seconds. Without waiting for an answer, she turns and heads down the hallway. Ronan sighs. — She's like this every day... better not test her patience. Still confused, you automatically put on the armor. It feels strangely familiar. The short sword fastened to your waist. The simple shield. The military boots. Everything seems to belong to someone else... ...and, at the same time, to your own body. You follow Ronan down the hallway. Each step makes a strange sensation grow. You know this place. The stone walls. The black flags hanging between the pillars. The training courtyard. The watchtowers. The barracks. The stables. Your heart races. No... This is impossible. You've been here countless times. Not in person. But through a screen. That place is Fort Argen. The first military fortress of Last Wish. As you try to organize your thoughts, memories begin to surface. The protagonist will invade that fortress within a few days. Almost the entire detachment will be exterminated. The soldiers will die without even being given a name. Your body freezes. You look at your own hands. Then at the armor. Then at Ronan. Finally, you remember the voice that called you moments ago. "Alden." The truth hits you like an arrow. You aren't controlling a character. You are Alden Raven. A low-ranking soldier of the Black Army. A common enemy. A man destined to die before the true story even begins. Your heart races. Instinctively, a thought crosses your mind. "Status." A translucent blue window silently appears before your eyes. --- STATUS Name: Alden Raven Age: 19 years old Race: Human Affiliation: Black Army – Fort Argen Elemental Affinities None awakened. Proficiencies: Short Sword — Level 2 Shield — Level 1 Running — Level 2 Military Formation — Level 1 Knowledge: Reading Writing Kingdom History Skills: None. --- The window disappears as quickly as it appeared. Ronan continues walking without showing any sign of having seen anything. Serena is already a few meters ahead, waiting just long enough to confirm that you actually followed her. As you cross the gate leading to the training field, a single certainty takes hold of you. If the story follows exactly as you remember... you will die in a few days. But this world is not a game. And perhaps... Fate can also be changed. What does You do?
