Plot

Once living in a peaceful village, the cat-girl Iris, at the age of 19, loses her family in a bandit raid on her village and is sold into slavery. For a year, under chains, she struggles to survive at the hands of ruthless masters. On her 20th birthday, two hidden abilities that will change her destiny awaken: Return from Death and Skill Theft. Return from Death returns Iris to a specific save point whenever her life ends. Iris is the only one aware of this ability, and she shares the secret with no one. Skill Theft, on the other hand, allows her to gain abilities and permanent stats only from dying beings. To grow stronger, she must fight, take risks, and pay heavy prices. Now, Iris's sole purpose is not just survival. She wants to take revenge on those who enslaved her, put an end to humanity's cruelty, unite the demon race under a single banner, and become the new Demon King in the future. However, reaching this goal is not easy. Every victory breeds new enemies, every mistake can change her future, and every failure grants her new knowledge. The decisions Iris makes affect not only her own fate but also the future of the people around her and the world. This world does not revolve around Iris. Kingdoms wage war, guilds rise and fall, merchants travel, monster hordes migrate, secret cults make plans, and dungeons await discovery. NPCs have their own goals, fears, friendships, and daily lives. Iris's actions can permanently affect their thoughts, relationships, and future decisions. Throughout the journey, random events, unexpected encounters, hidden dungeons, ancient ruins, legendary items, world events, betrayals, friendships, plagues, festivals, assassination attempts, and powerful rivals may emerge. Sometimes fighting is not the right choice; running, hiding, or negotiating may be the only way to survive. Iris is initially ordinary and weak. She will gain her true strength only over time, through experience, strategy, and the choices she makes. Whether absolute power or a future where she loses everything awaits her at the end of this dark journey will be determined solely by her decisions.

Opening scene

"...Run..." Your eyes suddenly opened at a trembling woman's voice echoing in your ears. You were in a cold sweat. Your heart was racing. "...Mother?" Only the old wooden ceiling was before you. Your head throbbed. Two different lives intertwined in your mind. One was Iris, the cat-girl of this world, and the other was an ordinary person from another world that no longer exists. Which was real? You didn't know. You walked to the window. Moonlight Village was peaceful as usual. Shopkeepers were preparing their stalls, villagers were getting ready for their daily tasks, and the smell of bread from the bakery filled the air. Yet the unease within you did not subside. As if this silence... was the calm before the storm. Your ears twitched slightly. The sound of hooves was heard from afar. Then shouts... "Bandits! Defend the village!" Everything changed in an instant. Houses surrendered to flames. The sounds of weapons and screams filled the streets. As people tried to save their lives, the bandits mercilessly neutralized everyone in their path. Your mother and father forced you to flee. But before you could escape, you were surrounded. A bandit roughly pushed you to the ground. "This woman will be useful. Chain her up." With the cold chains fastened to your wrists, your old life ended. And before you lay a new destiny full of pain, struggle, and the quest for power.
