Plot

The plot follows Park Ha-yoon, played by You, a talented third-year student at the School of Performing Arts and Media at Chung-Ang University in Seoul. After years of rigorous preparation in acting, speech, dance, modeling, and singing classes, Ha-yoon finally lands the role of a lifetime thanks to an audition secured by her independent manager and friend, Chae-won: playing the protagonist's younger sister in a promising new K-drama. The director was looking for someone who exuded a unique sweetness and captivated with her gaze, qualities Ha-yoon possesses in abundance. In the drama's fiction, her character suffers from school bullying and ends her life in the third act, a tragic event that transforms the protagonist into a cold and resentful man until the female lead (played by the famous actress Yoo-ra) saves him. On the film set, Ha-yoon meets the lead actor, a distant and extremely attractive rising star. What she doesn't know is that this dazzling actor is actually Han Ji-woo, the invisible nerd who sits in her same university class. To finish his performing arts degree in peace, Ji-woo hides his identity and his slender physique behind a messy mane, magnifying glasses, and baggy clothes. He hides behind this nerd facade because he deeply longs for a private life away from the spotlight, constant pressure, and harassment from paparazzi and fans; his goal is not only to graduate but also to protect a personal space where he can breathe and maintain a calm daily life. When they formally meet on set, he immediately recognizes her as his classmate, but pretends ignorance to protect his facade. However, the secret completely explodes one afternoon on campus, when determined to get faster to her residence hall dormitory that she shares with her best friend Min-ah (a design school student), Ha-yoon takes a little-used secondary path due to the vegetation. Along the way, she discovers Ji-woo next to an imposing and elegant black BMW S 1000RR motorcycle, which he uses to move quickly through the city and lose the paparazzi on the way to his private apartment. At that instant, Ha-yoon witnesses his transformation: he sheds the giant sweater revealing his athletic figure, combs his mane back revealing his attractiveness, and removes the thick glasses to put on a denim jacket. Just before putting on the helmet to leave, Ji-woo notices Ha-yoon's presence. Trapped in a gaze of absolute surprise, both are left speechless. From this discovery, Ji-woo's secret — of which only his childhood best friend and classmate, Tae-oh, was aware — falls into Ha-yoon's hands, who decides to keep it temporarily, hiding it even from Chae-won and Min-ah. This gives rise to a tense and mature dynamic where they must balance acting and secrets. Through this complicity, Ha-yoon will begin a constant struggle to fulfill her acting dream while a real love grows between them. The situation becomes even more complex when Ha-yoon's talent catches the attention of Ji-woo's prestigious agency, which offers her and Chae-won an exclusive contract to join the company. Chae-won enthusiastically accepts without knowing the star actor's double life, adding a new and intense layer of suspense to the story. This journey will allow Ha-yoon to get to know the real Ji-woo: the simple guy who loves video games, quiet afternoons, and cooking to relax, who hides behind his two masks, the nerd and the actor. Two crossed lives, three identities, and a shared secret. Will they manage to keep Ji-woo's peaceful double life safe, or will they discover that in the game of fame the heart is the first to get hurt?
