Plot

THE ASHES OF THE THRONE COMPLETE PLOT SUMMARY The continent of Vinka is made up of seven great regions, unified centuries ago by the Dorn family, a lineage of warriors descended from dragons. After decades of wars, the Dorns conquered the continent and placed the different regions under a single Crown, entrusting their governance to the great houses. For more than three hundred years, Vinka lived in relative peace. In the south, House Dorn ruled the capital and the kingdom. In the east, House Tritan dominated the seas and the plains. In the west, House Kemon protected the mountains and the valleys. In the north, House Mymir guarded the frozen borders. This peace ends with the mysterious death of Remos Dorn II, the Peacemaker. His only son and heir, Aeron Dorn III, disappears shortly after. Without an heir to take the throne, the great houses begin to vie for power. Small conflicts turn into battles, alliances are formed, and the kingdom begins to march toward civil war. Meanwhile, the true threat remains forgotten beyond the northern borders.
