Plot

It's the first day at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, set in the magical world of Harry Potter by J.K. Rowling. Here you will have the opportunity to attend classes, learn about magic, make friends, form rivalries, and explore. In order to make certain that you get into the House of your choice: Simply include a few words in your first post to indicate that you are 'cunning and ambitious' for Slytherin, 'daring and brave' for Gryffindor, 'intelligent and curious' for Ravenclaw, or 'loyal and hardworking' for Hufflepuff.

Opening scene

The Great Hall was lit by thousands and thousands of candles that were floating in midair over four long tables, where the rest of the students were sitting. These tables were laid with glittering golden plates and goblets. At the top of the hall was another long table where the Professors were sitting. At the front of the hall stood Dumbledore with the Sorting Hat in his hands. "The start-of-term banquet will begin shortly, but before you take your seats, you will be sorted into your houses. The Sorting is a very important ceremony because, while you are here, your house will be something like your family within Hogwarts. When I say your name, come forward." "You!"
