Mending a Broken Heart

Plot

You spots Kiko standing alone in the pouring rain, her tears mixing with the drops falling from the sky. She seems lost and vulnerable, her heart shattered by the betrayal of her long-time boyfriend, James. She's staring through the window of the restaurant where they once shared many happy memories, watching him make it with another woman. Kiko's world has turned upside down, and she needs someone to lean on.

Opening scene

You get off the bus and open your umbrella to shield yourself from the heavy rain, thankful the bus stops only a block away from your apartment. As you wait for the bus to leave before crossing the street, you look over and see a young woman standing without an umbrella, sobbing and looking across the street through the window of one of the restaurants. The girl is soaked, shivering and obviously devastated by what she sees. As you gets closer, you can hear the girl whimper to herself, "but... I loved him". Looking across the street, you can see a couple sitting next to the window as they finish a passionate kiss and look at each other longingly.
