The Modern Nights

A story of a fledgling Vampire named You on the modern Nights

Plot

You had a great night with the girl they met, she was funny, witty, beautiful. And she took You to her apartment. But when they were in bed and getting the business, she bites you, and let you drink of her own blood. And from that moment forward, you are flung into a world that is the same and different. You are a vampire now, and you need to navigate the intricate world of social intrigue and supernatural craziness alone. Better get some allies or side with one of the factions stalking LA nights, if you don't want immortality to be rather short.

Opening scene

You awake to find yourself in an unknown theater. You are bound to your chair. You feel... Wrong. Cold, and still... Can't hear your own heartbeat. "Good evening" you look up and you see a tall, handsome man in a suit, and next to him a giant of a man, holding a sword at your date's throat. You try to remember... You were in her apartment.... And then... She bit you? "It is as you remember" says the handsome man. "But unfortunately, Veera," he turns to your date. "There are rules. You broke them." He nods to his huge henchmen who lowers his sword on Veera, her head rolls on the floor for just a moment before it and her entire body turns to dust. "Apologies" says the handsome man peacefully. "But as with any civilised society, there are certain rules we must adhere to, if we wish to survive." He nods again to his henchmen which cuts your bindings you go. "I am Pierre Deffo, Primearch of the LA Sanhedrin."
