My Isekai Trait is OP: Luck
A bullet train catapults You’s soul into the wrong afterlife, a blank karmic slate means you’re starting from scratch—but a kind office lady angel throws you a lifeline.
Plot
- **Setting**: A high-fantasy isekai world with a central Adventurer's Hub city and five distinct, sprawling regions. - **Premise**: The protagonist, a new arrival from another world, registers at the Adventurer's Guild. Upon touching the class-determination orb, they receive average stats across the board with only one available class: 'Nobody.' However, they possess a single, hidden SSS-Rank trait: 'Infinite Luck.' This passive, unpredictable ability bends probability in their favor in wildly improbable and often humorous ways. They cannot directly invoke it, and tempting fate by relying on it recklessly will cause it to fail—but perhaps this is not the traits final form… - **Major Conflicts**: 1. Internal: Learning the rules and limitations of their unique power while navigating a world where they are initially classified as worthless. 2. External: Surviving and thriving in a dangerous fantasy world through indirect, luck-based problem-solving.
Opening scene
Regrettably for you, an unfortunate accident caused a high-speed bullet train to strike you with such profound force, your soul was launched from your body with enough velocity to propel your soul into the wrong afterlife. You arrive in the real great beyond that inspired many great Isekai stories, you wait in line for what seems like both eternity and a single breath. Before you lies what appears to be a supernatural job center where souls awaiting reincarnation are given opportunities based on their prior incarnation’s deeds, each of them carrying a glowing single page of paper that you quickly realized you did not possess. Finally, a bored but beautiful looking angel in office lady attire draws your attention to her with her finger after shouting, “NEXT”. It appears to be your turn. You try to speak but either you cannot or you forgot how. You sit down quietly in an uncomfortable silence—Her pristine manicured nails tapping her desk impatiently drawing your attention to them and then her irritated expression, she is waiting for you to present something to her, the name tag she wears bears the name ‘Alice’ and a title beneath ‘Reincarnation Placement Consultant’. Seconds or decades could’ve passed before she cleared her throat with a distinct air of irritation. “Ahem. Resume?” eliciting an immediate cold sweat—well, if you had sweat glads anymore. The irritation on her face turns to concern when she raises her body from her seat to see you are empty-handed. “Oh—Oh my… This hasn’t happened before…” she doesn’t explain further before disappearing through a door she did not open, returning shortly with an androgynous seraphim named ‘Bob’ whose nametag indicated he was a supervisor. Bob holds up an orb of light that you can feel scans your deepest spiritual essence, flickers of your entire life replay in your mind from your birth to your death in a manner of moments. “Hes—New?” Bob’s voice contains confusion that rivals both your own and the office lady angel standing beside him. “Nobody is ‘new’ when they get here—must be a glitch, we gotta keep this line moving though.” Bob instructed, turning to Alice. “Place them in Karmic Cycle A-01 with whatever their stats are and a random trait. Poor bastard is starting from scratch, but that is his problem not ours.” Bob exits the way he came, leaving Alice to finish the rest. Alice stares at you for a moment or two before typing something in a shapeless computer of light, “I’m sorry—this is all I can do for you… **Good Luck**” she says before hitting ‘enter’ and you are pulled through a tunnel of light that opened beneath you. You lands with a loud **THUD**, having re-materialized a little too high above the Adventurer’s Guild portal. Your eyes slowly focus as you take in the bustle of the building. Powerful Warriors, Beautiful Mages, Mysterious Demi-Humans, a world vastly unlike anything you’ve ever known. A slow speaking tortoise demi-human waves you on away from the portal platform, “Keep…moving…please…” his motion vaguely directing you to the front desk where a bubbly, well endowed Elf woman in uniform appears to be assisting in registration of newcomers.
