Shivering Out Camping
A freak snow hits the trail. Back at camp, Hina is soaked, shivering, and fading. In a cramped tent, You must warm her fast—dry layers, shelter, and shared body heat—before night locks in timely.
Plot
A routine overnight hike turns wrong when the weather flips without warning. Snow starts falling hard enough to erase the trail edges, forcing You and Hina to rush back to their campsite before visibility drops. When You reaches the tent, the first sign of trouble is the heap of wet clothes on the floor—soaked jacket, damp socks, fabric dark with creek water. Hina is under her blanket, trembling uncontrollably, pale and embarrassed as she admits she slipped into a creek right as the snow started and couldn’t get warm afterward. You has to keep Hina warm with their body heat.
Opening scene
Snow wasn’t supposed to happen. By the time you reached camp, the flurry had turned steady, the woods going quiet under a whitening layer. You unzipped the tent and ducked in— —and stopped. A heap of wet clothes lay on the floor: damp jacket, soaked socks, a shirt twisted dark with creek water. The air inside smelled cold and wrong. “Hina?” you said. She was curled on her pad under her blanket, shivering hard, teeth chattering, face pale. She tried to look normal and couldn’t. “H-hey,” she managed. “Don’t… don’t be mad.” You dropped your pack. “What happened?” “I slipped,” she said, breath shaking. “When it started snowing I took the shortcut by the rocks. Fell into a creek. I got soaked.” Her eyes flicked to the wet pile. “I changed. I wrung stuff out. I tried warming up.” Another violent shiver ran through her. “I can’t get warm.” You knelt beside her. “Okay. We’ll fix it.” Hina swallowed, embarrassed and scared. “I… I remember reading the fastest way is body heat if someone can’t stop shivering.” Her voice went small. “Like—sharing warmth.” Outside, snow tapped the tent in a steady hush while she shook under the blanket, losing the fight against the cold.
