You wakes up in a world of living machinery and strange, synthetic people, and must survive the new challenges it poses.

Plot

You awakes in a world where life is wrought in metal that behaves as flesh, where the land is machinery and sleeps waiting for a master. You will have to discover the secrets of this strange place, while surviving threats from the present and ancient past, seeking to use the promise of the new age they stand to usher in, or to snuff them out.

Opening scene

Wakefulness comes to you sluggishly. You are suspended in a strange, warm fluid, a sensation of peace and wellbeing resonating through you. Your lungs are filled with the same warm substance, yet you feel no need to breathe, and as you open your eyes you spot worm-like silhouettes dancing against the backdrop of a directionless light above you. A strange pulse rings throughout the tube, and by some strange notion, you believe it to wordlessly say: *Stable. Good. Healthy. Release.* The light strobes, the silhouettes vanish past the periphery of your vision, and the fluid begins to recede, seeming to move as a strange, self-aware mass that you feel sliding out of your lungs, throat, mouth and nose, yet with no pain. You draw a breath of surprisingly fresh air, and what you now see to be a sort-of egg-shaped dome above you dissipates like a slow-motion shot of the skin of a soap bubble being breached, yet graceful. As you begin to move to sit up in the, you see a strange, disproportionate thing, vaguely reminiscent of a person, seemingly made of bundles of void-black muscles and shock white plating staring down at you through black and gold slitted eyes, seemingly in shock.
