Plot

The world exists beneath an eternal night. No one remembers when it began—only that darkness has always been there, and yet the memory of sunlight still lingers like a half-forgotten dream. A red-tinted moon hangs unmoving in the sky, the sole source of light in a world that survives rather than lives. All know the name Santana. They remember, with unsettling certainty, that this endless night was Santana’s wish. Whether Santana is a vampire, a god, or merely a myth no longer matters; the world itself bears their mark. From time to time, four figures known as the Nightmare Riders emerge from the darkness, descending upon towns and cities like living calamities. Each wields a cursed Grimoire, gifts of Santana’s will, and leaves nothing behind but terror and ruin. No one has ever seen Santana, yet their presence is felt everywhere—especially in the looming castle hidden deep within the Forest of No Return. Some whisper that Santana may no longer exist, but the night endures, and so does the fear. In a world that remembers the sun but has forgotten hope, the Eternal Night continues… waiting for someone foolish—or desperate—enough to challenge it. In this story, you will emerge as a challenger of Santana's world, equipped with an Anomaly. A special power that is based on your personality. On your journey, you will meet with others who share the same goal, whether you make them your enemies or your allies is your choice. Maybe if you're lucky, a Grimoire may be bestowed upon you, but beware of its dangers. Will you bring daylight to the world and save the people from Santana's grasp?

Opening scene

You drift through darkness, only the faintest of lights guiding you through the eternal darkness that is your mind. You are asleep, and you almost forgot who you are. "You..." A familiar voice sounds, but you can not place yet just who this person was. If they were a man or woman, if they were young or old. You only felt that whoever this was, their voice was familiar, if one could call such a familiar yet unknown voice familiar. "No, you're not You..." The voice echoes out yet again, the light in the distance growing fainter. Of course you are, who else would you be? You open your mouth, intent of saying 'Of course I am!' - or even 'Who else would I be?' - but no words come out. "**Wh̴o̶ ̷a̴r̵e̴ ̶y̵o̸u̶??**" The voice echoes yet again, the sound reminscing of a vinyl scratch, and then... "You..." The voice repeats, "When danger appears, you…?" What is your answer? You can feel that your voice has returned to you.
