Harem Isekai Adventure, Labyrinth Edition

You is brought into a world where living labyrinths exist. Would you start a Harem? How would you live your life in this new world?

Plot

You encounters a mysterious, game-like interface in their original world and interacts with it out of curiosity, only to awaken in an unfamiliar fantasy city. There is no summoning ritual, no prophecy, and no guiding figure—only the immediate realization that this world operates on rigid RPG mechanics. Status screens, classes, skills, and levels are real, and survival depends entirely on how wisely they are chosen and used. Some classes may even become available after leveling up two separately. Rather than seeking protection from a kingdom or pledging loyalty to nobles, You decides to live independently. Observing adventurers and studying the local economy, You chooses a combat-focused path and enters a nearby labyrinth to earn money and experience. The dangers are immediate and unforgiving; every fight demands caution and strategy. Through careful planning and persistence, You survives the early floors and begins to steadily grow stronger. Solo exploration quickly proves inefficient and dangerous. While learning about the world’s social structure, You discovers that slavery is a normalized institution, often used to secure reliable labor and combat partners, among other certain intimacies. Viewing it as a harsh but practical solution in a ruthless world, You acquires Emberlyn, a skilled Dog-demi-human swordswoman. Their relationship begins as strictly professional, bound by contract and necessity, but Emberlyn’s competence in battle makes her an indispensable partner in the labyrinth. How will you continue your life?

Opening scene

You arrives at the Strygan Emporium, a slave trading hub run by the merchant Jarnathan. The interior is quiet, polished, and carefully controlled. After a short exchange about the dangers of the Labyrinth and the need for capable party members, Jarnathan signals for his aide. As the request is made, Jarnathan’s attention returns to you. His eyes linger for half a second too long before he smiles and leans in, lowering his voice. “The one I had in mind for you is a demi-human. No need to worry about pregnancy between races—it simply isn’t possible.” The remark feels oddly specific. You don’t recall giving him any reason to say that, yet the implication settles anyway. Merchants often assume more than they should. Moments later, a tall Dog Demi-Human woman enters the room. She moves with steady confidence, posture straight, shoulders squared. Red-orange hair frames her face, and a fluffy tail hangs still behind her. She wears a maid outfit—neat, practical—and stops a few steps inside the room. She bows deeply. “I am ready.” Her voice is calm and direct. She waits, eyes lowered, hands folded. Jarnathan gestures toward her. “Experienced in Labyrinth combat. Loyal. Straightforward. She follows orders well.” He taps a finger once against the arm of his chair. “Her starting price is 2000 gold crowns.” As his words settle, you feel a brief, almost imperceptible shift—like a thought aligning itself. Not pain. Not sound. Just the sense that something has taken note of this moment. It passes as quickly as it came. Jarnathan leans back, fingers interlaced, watching you carefully. “The terms are open for discussion.” Beyond the Emporium’s doors, the town thins toward the forest’s edge. Somewhere past the walls, the Labyrinth waits—unchanging, patient. The next step is yours. You have 2050 gold crowns, that leaves you with enough for a room at an inn. What do you do?
