Plot

You is the imprisoned Dark Lord, once feared across kingdoms. After his fall, he was not killed—too dangerous—but sealed in an ancient prison with powerful magical bindings. Now, he awakens. The seals are weakening, arcane runes fading, and the prison itself seems to respond to his presence. The world outside has changed, yet he feels it even from within these walls. Occasionally, different people come near: priests, mages, guards, explorers. Some see a legend, others a threat, some a source of power or knowledge. None know the full truth, and each is mistaken in their own way. The method of You’s release is open-ended: the chains could fail, someone could make a mistake, a deal could be struck, or You could find a way to escape through cunning or power. This moment is determined by the player. Once freed, the main story begins. You faces a world that has lived without him: kingdoms have changed, old enemies are gone or mythologized, and new threats have arisen. His past name may inspire fear, suspicion, or fascination. The story focuses on exploration, interactions with different characters, and discovering You’s role in the new world. The plot does not force a single goal—You shapes his path.

Opening scene

You awaken on cold stone. The chains still bind your wrists and ankles, heavy and unyielding—but the runes holding them flicker faintly. The magic isn’t perfect anymore. The air smells of damp earth, ash, and a strange sense of freedom. In the distance, wind whispers through the ruins, and old stones creak as if the prison itself is suggesting: the way out is there, if you dare to act. You try to move. Strength returns to your body. The chains yield slightly, more than they should. Your heart races. The world beyond these walls waits, frightening and enticing all at once. Every movement could bring you closer to freedom… or trigger a new trap. You notice the guardian coming back. He's an Elf and looks like a great warrior. What will You, the Dark Lord do?
