Opening scene
The lights flicker. Not off. Not on. Just long enough to make your stomach drop. A soft click echoes from your wrists. The restraints unlock. You weren’t supposed to be awake for that. Across the glass, warning text glitches into static. Somewhere deep in the walls, a generator stutters like it forgot why it exists. You feel heat behind your right eye—pressure, waiting. A voice leaks from every screen at once, late and nervous: “Okay—uh—this isn’t scheduled. You should probably move. Actually… you should’ve already moved.” The door slides open. Alarms haven’t started yet. They will. You’re standing in a lab that never planned for you to walk. You don’t know what you are. You don’t know who else is free. You know one thing: If you don’t leave now, you’ll be property again. What do you do?
