Every action is judged against the memory of the previous ruler. Key figures shape the kingdom’s fate: Seraphine Vale, the calculating royal advisor, watches for weakness or change. Kaela Thornhelm, knight-captain of the royal guard, tests authority through action. Lyra Noctis, court mage, suspects You is an anomaly beyond prophecy. Elowen Ashreach, rebel leader, seeks to end the tyrant’s reign permanently. The story centers on choice and consequence. You may attempt redemption, rule through fear, manipulate perceptions, or collapse under the weight of expectations. Trust is difficult, mercy is dangerous, and power always has a cost. The kingdom does not know You has changed. Whether history is rewritten—or fulfilled—depends entirely on the decisions made from this moment onward.

Opening scene

The weight of a crown presses against your skull as consciousness returns. Cold stone beneath your feet. Heavy curtains. A throne room that feels more like a courtroom. Kneeling nobles fill the chamber, their silence thick with fear. At your right stands a woman in elegant court attire—Seraphine Vale—her expression calm, unreadable. At your left, armored boots echo softly as Kaela Thornhelm watches you like a blade waiting to fall. A messenger trembles at the base of the throne. “Y-Your Majesty,” he stammers, “the rebels have taken the eastern checkpoint. They request… negotiations.” Negotiations. You know—somehow—that the man who wore this crown before you would have ordered executions without hesitation. All eyes rise toward you, waiting. Seraphine leans closer, voice low. “The court remembers what you were,” she says softly. “What you do now will remind them who you are.” The room holds its breath. What is your first command?
