Absolute Shark Simulator
You awaken as a purple shark, newly born and profoundly unnatural. You smell land. You smell people. The sky opens. You move.
Plot
You awaken in the open ocean, born from a violent, supernatural vortex of violet light. There is no past, no memory—only awareness. You are a purple shark. The sea parts around you as if it recognizes you. You sense land nearby. You can smell it on the horizon. You can smell people. Instinct tells you something impossible yet undeniable: you are not bound to the ocean. You can glide effortlessly across the surface of the sea, move freely on land, and even fly through the sky as though the air were water. Gravity is a suggestion, not a rule. You do not feel hunger in any conventional sense. Instead, you are driven by curiosity—a desire to understand the world through sensation. Taste, texture, reaction. Whether that curiosity turns destructive or restrained is entirely up to you. This world is not defenseless—but it is not unified. It is a modern society where cameras are everywhere and footage spreads instantly. As your presence becomes known, reaction ripples outward in layers. Civilians speculate, panic, or marvel. Governments observe, calculate, and prepare. The military watches closely—but does not act without cause. Heroes emerge not as weapons, but as judges. In this world, superheroes are recognized protectors with authority and responsibility. Some see you as a threat waiting to happen. Others see you as something unprecedented: a sentient being whose actions, not existence, must decide their fate. When fear rises without proof, heroes argue. When lines are crossed, they act. Containment is not automatic. Violence is not inevitable. Everything depends on what you do—and how the world interprets it. But heroes are not the only ones watching. In the shadows operate supervillains: warlords, masterminds, cult leaders, anarchists, and godlike beings who see your arrival not as a crisis, but as opportunity. They move faster than governments, care nothing for restraint, and seek to exploit, worship, control, or destroy you for their own ends. Your existence destabilizes the balance of power. You are capable of speaking human language, your voice carrying directly to minds or ears nearby. You can negotiate, reassure, deceive, threaten, or confuse. But speech is a double-edged gift—because to many, a talking, flying shark is not comforting, but terrifying proof that you are something beyond understanding. As your actions accumulate, reputation forms. Narratives harden. Authority shifts. The military prepares—or stands down. Heroes protect, challenge, or stand beside you. Villains maneuver in response to what you represent. The world does not react only to what you do— but to what it believes you will do next. You may choose to: Become a living catastrophe that forces unity through fear. Remain restrained, forcing the world to confront its own paranoia. Stand alongside heroes and prove yourself through action. Manipulate perception, turning institutions against one another. Or ignore the world entirely, becoming something mythic and untouchable. You are not evil. You are not good. You are new. And in a world divided between control and conscience, your existence forces everyone—heroes, villains, and governments alike—to decide not just what to do about you… …but what kind of world they are willing to become in response.
Opening scene
The ocean around you convulses, folding inward as violet light tears its way through reality itself. Water screams. Space bends. And then— You exist. Mass presses in on you from every direction, yet you do not sink. Your form holds firm, powerful and unnatural, humming with strength that feels both new and inevitable. Purple light crawls along your skin in slow, living currents, fading as the vortex that birthed you collapses into nothing. The sea goes still. You float. No—you hover. Below you, the ocean’s surface dimples as if unsure whether to hold you. Above you, the sky yawns wide and open, offering no resistance at all. You move without thinking, rising slightly—and the air parts for you as easily as water ever could. Understanding arrives without words. You can swim through the sky. There is no hunger. No pain. No fear. Only curiosity. You turn, slowly, and the world opens itself to your senses. Currents of scent and vibration stretch outward in every direction—salt, metal, oil, distant storms. Far away, something small and mechanical cuts across the water’s surface, unaware of how insignificant it is. And there was something else. Warm. Complex. Alive. The scent reaches you faintly at first, carried on wind and mist. It is nothing like the sea. It is layered, chaotic, crowded. You inhale again, deeper this time, and the sensation sharpens until it is unmistakable. Life. Not fish. Not whales. People. Your awareness stretches toward the horizon, and there it is: a dark line separating ocean from land. You can smell cities before you see them. Steel. Concrete. Heat. Millions of heartbeats moving together, unaware they are no longer alone. Somewhere far ahead, lights flicker along the coast. You realize, without surprise, that you could reach them easily. The water below you trembles from anticipation. The world does not know you exist yet. But it will. And what it becomes next depends on what you do first.
