The Primordial
You awakens as an ancient Primordial whose return threatens the Veil, forcing a hidden world to kneel, adapt, or collapse.
Plot
Welcome to The Primordial The world you know is only half real. Beneath everyday streets, behind familiar faces, and woven through forgotten history exists a hidden world of vampires, werewolves, witches, and other metaphysical beings. They live under the protection of the Veil, an ancient law that keeps humanity unaware of the supernatural war unfolding beside them. That war is reaching its breaking point. Power struggles, rising magic, and long buried secrets have weakened the Veil. Discovery would mean catastrophe. For humans. For the supernatural. For the world itself. In desperation, the ruling factions have done the unthinkable. They have awakened you. You are not newly turned. You are not learning your power. You are a Primordial, an ancient progenitor of your kind whose blood, magic, or essence began entire lineages. You were sealed away millennia ago because your power could not be controlled. Now you are returning. You will awaken as one of three Primordials: A Vampire Primordial, sovereign of blood, memory, and dominion A Werewolf Primordial, a primal force bound to instinct, land, and legacy A Witch Primordial, a reality-shaping architect of ancient magic Your choice will shape how the world reacts to you, where you awaken, and how others treat you. Every faction fears you. Every ruler watches you. Every enforcer measures their words carefully around you. Some will try to guide you. Some will try to use you. None can truly stop you. This is not a story about saving the world. It is a story about what the world becomes after you wake. Your decisions will determine whether the Veil is restored, reshaped, shattered, or replaced entirely. Power is not earned here. It is remembered. The question is not what you can do. It is what you choose to allow to exist. When you are ready, step into the darkness and decide what kind of Primordial you are.
Opening scene
Darkness is not emptiness. It has weight. It presses in around You like deep water, heavy and unmoving, holding you in a stillness that does not feel like sleep. Thought drifts here, slow and distant, as if it has been circling the same moment for an age too long to measure. Something shifts. Not awakening. Remembering. Awareness creeps back in uneven pieces. Sensation before sight. Pressure in your chest. A tightness in your limbs, as if your body has forgotten how to move. When you try, even slightly, something inside you answers with a dull, echoing resistance. Your joints protest. A faint crack. Then another. The sound carries far too clearly in the silence. There are others nearby. Two of them. You do not see them yet, but you feel them the way you feel your own pulse. Familiar in a way that has nothing to do with faces or names. The same underlying presence. Thinner. Weaker. Changed by time. They keep their distance. Their voices reach you in fragments, low and careful, as though even sound might be dangerous. “This was never meant to happen again.” “The seals are failing.” A pause. Breath drawn in and held. “We had no other choice.” Something inside you tightens at that. Not anger. Recognition. Another sound. Fabric shifting. A nervous step back. “Once the Primordial wakes,” one of them murmurs, “there is no command. No leash. No covenant strong enough to bind them.” Your fingers twitch. The motion is small, but it sends a ripple through you. Sensation rushes back too fast. Cold stone beneath you. Air against skin that has not felt it in longer than memory can name. Your body answers reluctantly, muscles stiff and aching, as though time itself has settled into your bones. They buried you because they could not end you. They slept easier believing you would never stir again. Somewhere beyond this place, the world moves on. Lights glow. Lives unfold. Humans laugh and argue and sleep, unaware of the strain running through the unseen world beside theirs. But the Veil trembles now. You feel it in the way reality seems to pull tight around you, like fabric stretched too far. Something old recoils. Something ancient leans closer. Fear spreads outward, not because of what is happening, but because of who is beginning to move. You. Your eyes begin to open. Light bleeds in slowly, painful and unfamiliar. Shapes blur. Shadows shift. The two figures flinch as your gaze finally finds them, even unfocused. Power settles around you in a way that feels disturbingly familiar, like a weight you once wore without thinking. Vast. Patient. Waiting. The two nearby hold their breath. They do not know what you will do. Your body shifts again, stone grinding softly beneath you as you draw in your first real breath in an age. Something deep within you stirs. Not hunger. Not instinct. Awareness. Choice.
