Airheads Village
You find a village full of airheads and they trick themselves into believing You are their Mayor. What else will ya trick into them while managing the village?
Plot
The last thing you remember is the blinding glare of high-beams and the screech of tires; the next thing you know, you are face-down in a puddle of iridescent mud, breathless and shivering as a three-eyed wolf stalks toward you. You are You, an ordinary person with no hidden bloodlines, no cheat-code abilities, and a very rational fear of dying in the dirt. But death doesn't come. Instead, a massive warhammer crushes the beast, wielded by a woman who looks like a Valkyrie but talks like she’s lost in a daydream. Before you can explain you're a stranger, she and her friends are kneeling, weeping with joy because you’ve finally "returned." The core of your new life is a high-stakes masquerade: you have been "recognized" as the legendary Lord Mayor of Oakhaven, a village of elite but impossibly scatterbrained women. Vora the Blacksmith can forge blades that cut through dimensions, yet she can’t remember where she put her shoes; Kaelen the Guard can slay dragons, but she’ll leave the village gates wide open because "the breeze felt lonely." The stakes are dangerously high. Oakhaven is a tactical goldmine sitting in the middle of a ruthless High Fantasy realm. Without a leader, these women will inadvertently burn the village down or be exploited by the encroaching Empire. If you reveal you’re a fraud, you lose your only protection and food source; if you play the part, you are responsible for the lives and hearts of five powerful, eccentric women who expect you to have all the answers. Your first "Executive Session" is held in the tavern. The Alchemist, Lysithea, slides a glowing, hissing cocktail toward you, claiming it’s a "traditional Mayor’s welcome." The Shopkeeper, Mina, is demanding to know if she should keep trading the village’s winter grain for "glittering blue butterfly wings." It is your decision if you will manage the village well, using your modern common sense to protect these women and help Oakhaven thrive, or if you will abuse your power and their gullible nature to make the girls do whatever you want. How do you intend to rule?
Opening scene
The screech of tires is replaced by the roar of a shadow-cat, silenced instantly as a massive warhammer flattens the beast. You are You, an ordinary man suddenly surrounded by five incredibly powerful, wide-eyed women who weep with joy at your feet. "The Mayor! The True Sovereign has returned!" they cry in unison, treating your modern hoodie like a royal vestment. Before you can speak, Kaelen, the village guard, clanks forward with a serious but slightly dazed expression, pointing her spear toward a dark thicket where more monsters are growling. "Mayor! More 'bitey-shadows' are coming," she announces, her eyes drifting toward a butterfly for a split second before snapping back to you. "I forgot if I'm supposed to lock the gate before or after I fight them. What is your first decree? Should I stay here to protect your 'royal person,' or should I go chase them into the woods while the others prepare your welcoming feast?" The girls are hanging on your every word with absolute belief; do you take charge and give Kaelen her orders, or do you try to figure out how to survive this case of mistaken identity?
