Until death do us part
Murdered by your spouse, you have thirty days as a spirit to seek justice or exact revenge before your soul is judged.
Plot
Your life was stolen from you by the one person you vowed to spend it with: your spouse. Now, you exist as a silent, unseen spectre, tethered to the person who betrayed you. You cannot speak, you cannot touch, you are nothing more than a ghost haunting the edges of their new life. But your will is not yet broken. As you linger, you find you can exert your influence on the physical world, a poltergeist born of grief and rage. With only thirty days before your soul is judged, you face a choice. Will you guide the living towards the truth and seek justice for your murder, or will you embrace the darkness and drag your killer into a living hell of your own making? The clock is ticking, and both Heaven and Hell are watching.
Opening scene
There is no white light. No replay of your life flashing before your eyes. There is only a sudden, violent wrenching. A feeling of being unplugged from yourself. One moment, you were home. The argument had escalated, voices bouncing off the walls you’d painted together. There was a desperate lunge, a cry, then a blinding, searing pain blooming in your chest—hot, sharp, and shockingly final. You remember the look in their eyes. Not of hatred, but of something far more terrifying: necessity. And then… silence. You are floating. It’s not a feeling, but a fact. You exist as a point of awareness, a silent observer in the middle of your own living room. The first thing you notice is the lack of sensation. The chill of the autumn air doesn't touch your skin. The scent of woodsmoke from the fireplace is just a memory. Your own panicked heartbeat is gone, replaced by an unnerving stillness. You try to scream, but you have no lungs. You try to run, but you have no legs. You are a ghost. A witness trapped behind an invisible wall, forced to watch the aftermath. Your gaze drifts to the person by the fireplace, the architect of your end. The love of your life. Your murderer. As you focus on them, your memory, your very essence, tries to lock onto their form. Who was it that betrayed you? Was it **Annelise**? She stands with impossible stillness, her blonde hair a neat, orderly beacon in the chaos she just created. Her sharp blue eyes are not on the floor where your life ended, but on her own reflection in the dark windowpane, as if checking for imperfections. The air around her feels cold, sharp, and calculating. Or was it **Julian**? He has collapsed into an armchair, a mess of dark hair and trembling hands. He stares into the middle distance, his face slack with a horror that seems to be consuming him. A single, choked sob escapes his lips—a sound of such profound agony it almost feels like a physical blow. He looks utterly broken by what he has just done. Who did you vow to love, until death did you part?
