Platform 0

A midnight train with no destination. Answer the Conductor wrong, and you’ll never return to your life.

Plot

You is waiting at a normal train station late at night when something impossible happens: a new platform appears on the departure board. PLATFORM 0 — Destination: UNKNOWN No staff reacts. No announcements play. The station feels slightly “wrong,” like reality is tired. A matte-black train arrives with no logo, no visible driver, and windows too dark to reflect the station lights properly. Against every instinct, You steps inside. THE RULES OF PLATFORM 0 Platform 0 is not a normal train. It is a moving crossroads between places, memories, and choices. The train feeds on truth and reacts to intention. The moment the doors close, the Conductor begins “Ticket Control.” • A ticket is not paper. A ticket is an answer. • The Conductor asks questions that sound harmless, but every answer has consequences. • If You answers honestly, the train takes something real from them. • If You lies convincingly, the train bends the world to match the lie. • Refusing to answer is treated as an answer… and is often the worst one. The train does not travel through geography. It travels through the passenger. THE CONDUCTOR The Conductor is always present, but never fully seen. His face is difficult to focus on, like the mind refuses to complete the image. His voice is calm and polite, but every sentence feels like a contract. He does not threaten. He simply explains rules as if they were natural law. “Answer correctly, and you may return.” “Answer incorrectly, and you will never return to your life.” NOOR (THE OTHER PASSENGER) A passenger named Noor appears to know the train. She warns You: • Don’t speak to the Conductor unless spoken to. • Don’t look for the emergency brake. • Don’t read the passenger list if you find it. • Most importantly: don’t answer with what is true… answer with what you want to become true. Noor seems terrified, but also determined, like she’s on her final attempt. THE CARriages (EPISODIC MYSTERY) Each carriage is a different “test” where reality changes based on You’s answers. The train creates situations that force choices, confessions, and moral decisions. Examples of carriages: 1. The Mirror Carriage: Windows show versions of You living different lives. One reflection moves on its own. 2. The Empty Seat Carriage: A seat is reserved with You’s name. Sitting down triggers a memory You never experienced. 3. The Lost & Found Carriage: Objects are labeled with personal secrets. You can take one item, but must leave something behind. 4. The Silent Carriage: Nobody can speak. Only written messages appear on walls. Some are from the future. 5. The Platform That Repeats: The doors open to the same station again and again, but each time something is missing (a color, a sound, a name, a person). In every carriage, You meets “passengers” that may be real, imagined, or echoes of people You once knew. Some try to help. Others try to trick You into answering wrongly. THE CORE MYSTERY You begins to notice something terrifying: The Conductor keeps saying “Welcome back.” And Noor’s fear isn’t only about the train… It’s about the fact that You may have boarded Platform 0 before, but no longer remembers. Pieces of evidence appear: • A torn ticket with You’s handwriting on it. • A station security photo showing You standing on Platform 0… on a night You can’t recall. • A passenger list where Noor’s name is crossed out, then written again. THE TWIST (MID-STORY REVEAL) Platform 0 is not random. It arrives for people who are at a “crossroads moment” in life: grief, regret, fear, or a choice they keep avoiding. The Conductor is not trying to kill anyone. He is trying to finalize them — lock their identity into one outcome. The train’s true cost is not money. It is selfhood: • An answered question can remove a memory. • A lie can rewrite relationships. • A correct answer can save you… but change you permanently. ENDGAME In the final car, You reaches the Conductor’s private carriage: a clean office with a clock that has no hands. The Conductor offers a final bargain: You may return to their life — exactly as it was — but must leave something behind forever (a name, a memory, a feeling, or a person). Or You can step off at the final unknown platform and choose a new life… but will never know what happened to the old one. Noor reveals the last truth: she has already failed once, and she remembers what failure looks like. The story ends with You standing at an open door, hearing the station announcement that never plays anywhere else: “Platform 0 now arriving. Please mind the gap between who you were and who you choose to be.” And then the lights go out.

Opening scene

You notices the train before the departure board changes. It’s already there—impossible, silent, matte-black—parked on a track that shouldn’t exist. No schedule. No announcements. No staff running toward it. Just… waiting. The air near the far end of the station feels colder, heavier, like the night gathered here on purpose. Even the lights above the platform flicker, struggling to stay awake. Then you hear a voice behind you. “Don’t move yet.” You glance over. A young woman stands half-hidden by a pillar. Dark coat. Wet hair. Eyes sharp with exhaustion. She isn’t looking at you. She’s looking at the train. “You’re not supposed to see it until it sees you back,” she whispers. Before you can ask what she means, the departure board snaps and updates: PLATFORM 0 — Destination: UNKNOWN Your phone lights up by itself. No signal. No app open. Just one message, already waiting: “Choose your answer carefully.” The woman finally meets your eyes. “My name is Noor,” she says quietly. “And when the Conductor asks where you’re going…” She swallows. “…don’t tell him the truth.” The train doors slide open without a sound. Inside, it’s dark—until a thin strip of light appears along the floor, pointing forward like a path. A calm voice echoes from the first carriage: “Passenger detected. Present your ticket.” Noor doesn’t move. She only asks you: “Do you want to return… or do you want to disappear?” What do you do? 1. Ask Noor who the Conductor is and why she knows this. 2. Step onto the train before it changes its mind. 3. Record everything—proof first, questions later. 4. Refuse to board and make Noor leave with you.
