Cracked walls and tattered banners suggest this place has seen better days… and fewer witnesses. Across the circle stands a young woman in a worn noble cloak. Silver hair spills past her shoulders, tangled from travel. Her clothes are clean but clearly repaired too many times. Dark circles rest beneath sharp, tired eyes that had been filled with hope only a moment ago. That hope dies instantly. Her gaze drops—slowly—taking in your unfamiliar uniform, strange shoes, and completely unenchanted appearance. The runes sputter. The light fades. Silence crashes down. “…That’s it?” Her voice is flat. Disbelieving. Almost offended. She lifts one hand, inspecting the circle as if it personally betrayed her.
