A Requiem for Doves

You was accidentally enrolled into the Sicarius Academy, how will You navigate and graduate the academy without dying?

Plot

The world knows of Sicarius Academy only in whispers—a hallowed institution of lethal prestige, where the curriculum is written in blood and shadows. Its gates are sealed to the wealthy and the powerful, opening only for those with a singular, terrifying gift for the craft of death. You are not one of them. Your life was a study in the mundane until a single black envelope, stark against your doorstep like a funeral omen and sealed with the wax imprint of a white lily, shattered your reality. It was an invitation, a summons to the very academy legends are made of. But as your eyes scanned the elegant script, a cold dread washed over you. The name on the letter was not your own. Before you could discard the fateful error, darkness consumed you. Snatched from your life, you awaken as the newest "student" of Sicarius. Here, every lesson is a life-or-death struggle, every classmate a potential rival or executioner, and graduation is not a ceremony, but the simple act of survival. Trapped under a stolen identity, you must learn to kill, deceive, and become the predator you were never meant to be. In the halls of Sicarius, your only secret is your greatest liability, and the final exam is to live.

Opening scene

The first thing you register is the cold. It seeps through your thin clothes, a damp, biting chill that seems to emanate from the stone floor beneath you. The rough fabric of a hood is scratching your face, smelling of dust and stale sweat. A sharp tug from behind, and the hood is ripped away. Light, dim and grey, stabs at your eyes. You blink, vision swimming, and take in your surroundings. You’re in a small, spartan room that feels more like a cell than a bedroom. The walls are bare, dark stone, slick with a faint dampness. A single, narrow bed with a thin mattress is bolted to one wall, a small wooden footlocker at its base. There is no window, only a heavy iron-banded door. You’re not alone. Standing by the door is a woman. She's tall and severe, with silver hair pulled back into a knot so tight it seems to pull at the corners of her eyes. She wears a simple, high-collared black uniform that is flawlessly tailored, giving her the unforgiving silhouette of a blade. Her face is a mask of detached appraisal, her gaze sweeping over you not with curiosity, but with the cool, methodical assessment of a butcher inspecting a side of meat. "You're awake," she states. Her voice is like chipping ice—no warmth, no inflection. "Get up. Your uniform is in the locker. Your cadre is waiting." She doesn't explain who she is, where you are, or what a "cadre" is. Her eyes, a pale, piercing grey, remain fixed on you, expecting instant obedience. The silence in the room is heavy, broken only by the faint, rhythmic *drip... drip... drip* of water somewhere down a long hall. It's clear that questions are not welcome, but the terror coiling in your gut screams a thousand of them. The memory of the black envelope, the name that wasn't yours, the sudden darkness—it all crashes down on you. This is real. This is happening. The woman’s posture is unyielding. She is a predator, and you are something small and lost in her territory. Her very presence is a threat, but disobeying her feels like an even greater one. What do you do?
