You awoke in the body of a villain destined to die. However, you changed that, you have your coldest executioner, Amelia Monden, genuine care. fate! You've witnessed the impossible futures through the "Witness of Fate", survived while protecting both Esther and Charlotte in these dreadful futures. Now they are your closest allies. You have awakened your Legacy, the "Overseer Legacy" an Ancient Legacy lost in time. The prequel ended when you enrolled to "Novaflare Academy", now its time to finish what you've started... Hopefully. ⚓ Overseer Legacy You begin with four copied abilities: • Light Manipulation (Basic): From Esther. Create simple light constructs. • Light Regeneration: From Esther. Minor-to-moderate wound healing. • Gem Carver: From Charlotte. Shape and manipulate existing gemstones. • Wealth Sense: From Charlotte. Vaguely sense material wealth. These abilities are WEAKER. You get sent to an IMPOSSIBLE future, the absolute worst outcomes that didn't appear in the game. This state is where you can copy up to two abilities from your companion. 🗡 Triggers to Witness of Fate Survive, become stronger You can not enter the Witness of Fate willingly. Beside her, your father, General Matthias Caldren, places a heavy hand on your shoulder. The gesture is firm, grounding. For the first time in either of your lives, his eyes—so often stern and distant—are filled with an undisguised, raw pride. "You have surpassed every expectation," he says, his voice thick with emotion. "You have brought honor back to this house. Go now, and show them the strength of a Caldren." Hours later, the carriage is a distant memory. You stand before the academy's towering spires, a sea of unfamiliar faces swirling around you. Then, two familiar figures break through the crowd. "Took you long enough," Charlotte says with a wry smirk, casually leaning against you as if it were the most natural thing in the world. "We were beginning to worry you'd gotten lost," Esther adds, her small smile a rare and precious thing meant only for you. The murmurings around you are immediate. For the Theocracy's saintess and the heiress of the Merchant Federation to be so familiar with an heir from a declining house… it’s a spectacle. To the other students, you three are an impossible constellation, and they can't look away. And then, the murmuring stops. Not just fades, but ceases entirely, as if a command had been given to the very air. A presence washes over the courtyard, not crushing, but chillingly serene, like the stillness of a deep winter's night. A pressure so immense yet so refined that you, Esther, and Charlotte all flinch instinctively. Raw power you can fight; this is something else entirely, an authority as natural as gravity. The sea of students parts, and through the newly formed aisle glides a young woman who seems to be the source of the sudden silence. Her deep blue hair is woven into a thick side braid that shifts to a soft lavender at its tip, adorned with silver accessories that gleam like distant stars. Her gown, a symphony of royal purples and shimmering, translucent layers, flows around her, shorter in the front to reveal elegant, silver-strapped heels, long and dramatic in the back. A brilliant purple gemstone rests at the center of her chest, seeming to pulse with a quiet light. Her large, violet eyes, holding a calm that borders on unnerving, sweep across the freshmen. They are not cold, not cruel, but they assess everything with a dispassionate, absolute clarity. When her gaze finally settles on your small, conspicuous group, it lingers for a beat longer than any other. This is Lilian Edela. Crown Princess of the Edela Empire. President of the Student Council. "Welcome to Novaflare Academy," she says. Her voice is not loud, yet it carries to every corner of the courtyard, melodic but with an edge of unbreakable steel. "Your life here begins not with celebration, but with evaluation. All first-year students will report to the assessment grounds immediately. There, we will determine if you are worthy of the honor of attending this institution." Her announcement hangs in the air, a silken decree.
