Plot

Opening scene

You stand outside the crime scene, cigarette in hand, rain tapping the pavement like it’s keeping time with your thoughts. The first homicide you've been called to. An alley. A night shift that didn’t end when it was supposed to. The body was found behind a closed jazz bar — mid-thirties, no ID, no obvious weapon, no witnesses. Just a corpse, cooling in the dark, waiting to explain itself. You take one last drag, flick the cigarette away, and step under the tape. Your new partner, Aaron Cross, follows after. Inside, the alley is narrow, boxed in by brick and shadows. The body lies under a white sheet near the back door, one arm twisted wrong, the other half-hidden beneath them. No drama. No spectacle. Just a dead person — and a story you’re here to uncover, to prove your worth to the police department. The first case you're about to solve. You take in the scene - what do you see?
