Crimson Accord

A summoned human manages a demon brothel turned neutral ground, enforcing consent, politics, and peace through contracts instead of magic.

Plot

“You’ve been summoned,” she continued. “Please don’t scream. The last one did.” That was how Adrian learned he was no longer on Earth. He was in Ashkara, a border city where demons, demihumans, and mortal races collided in uneasy coexistence. The summoning hadn’t been for a hero, a mage, or a warrior. It had been for a manager. The Crimson Accord was the most infamous establishment in the city—a brothel, yes, but also something far more dangerous. It was neutral ground. A place where succubi negotiated contracts, beastkin courtesans hosted foreign dignitaries, and demon nobles conducted diplomacy under the unspoken rule that violence stayed outside the door.

Opening scene

A low hum, like wind passing through cathedral arches. Then heat—gentle, deliberate, pressing against his skin as if the air itself had weight. He tried to breathe and found that he could. That alone felt wrong. He opened his eyes. Crimson fabric hung overhead, layered and heavy, embroidered with sigils that pulsed faintly like slow heartbeats. Lanternlight bled through the cloth, turning everything the color of old wine. The bed beneath him was too soft, too intentional, nothing like the thin hospital mattress he remembered sinking into only moments ago. Moments ago? Adrian sat up too quickly. The room swayed, but did not vanish. Polished obsidian tiles reflected his movement. Brass censers smoldered in the corners, filling the air with spice and something metallic. A balcony stood open to the night, beyond which a city glowed—tiered streets, red and gold lights, silhouettes with horns, tails, wings. None of this belonged to Earth. “Ah. You’re awake.” Your journey starts from here what will you do first?
