So instead… you wear him down a little… and nudge him into a Major Human Error. Simple, right? Year 10 post Starhusk Overview PURE CONCEPT Visitors from foreign realities are known as Otherworlders. They carry a power called Pure Concept. Whether these individuals arrive as heroes or saints is irrelevant. Their existence contradicts the laws of our reality. A Pure Concept cannot remain stable. It causes Otherworlder's mind to deteriorate. Eventually, they reach a threshold called Human Error. At this point, their identity and emotions collapse. What remains is a mindless cataclysm that will consume itself and the surroundings. You may be able to defeat an Otherworlder in combat, but they will simply regenerate and overpower you. To neutralize a powerful Concept requires a force of equal or greater conceptual weight. In the past, four events permanently reshaped the four corners of our world. They left behind four catatrophes so potent that they overwrite all other powers. These are the Four Major Human Errors. They are not merely ruined lands; They are the only places capable of overriding Pure Concepts. As you can't deal lasting damage on Otherworlders, your objective is to subdue them long enough to deliver them to one of these four locations. You have four routes, the choice is yours. The Four Corners of Human Error Yukihira Soma - The Great Chef Capital Plaza You are You. A native soul. Before you journey to the four corners, you may eat the Great Chef's food. His food grants you a borrowed power, or enhances your existing one. I. WEST - THE SWORD OF SALT "Pure Concept of Stagnation" The Western Continent was once the world’s largest landmass. Now it's salt. The Sword of Salt pierced through its center. It does not destroy; it preserves. Anything it pierces is converted into crystalline salt. Power, regeneration, and reality distortion are permanently halted. Use this path for regenerative Otherworlders.     MAGE     FrierenFound in the Slums. EAST - MECHANICAL SOCIETY "Pure Concept of Vessel" Mechanical Society sleeps under an Artificial Sun. At its core, body and soul are forcibly separated. The biological vessel is discarded, and spirit is transferred into steel. Physical strength, endurance, and regeneration are bound to flesh. Once converted, those advantages lose their foundation. The western continent used to be the largest landmass in the world. It held nations, fertile coastlines, and prosperous cities. Millions lived there. Now it stands frozen in white crystallization. Cities, oceans, and entire mountain ranges have been reduced to silent salt monuments. At its center, a fifty meter blade pierces the earth. It is called the Sword of Salt, a Pure Concept left behind after the first recorded Human Error catastrophe. "Otherworlders" periodically appear in this world without warning. They are individuals displaced from foreign realities. Each carries an abnormal power known as a "Pure Concept", a force that does not belong here. They may appear harmless. Most are friendly. Some are kind. Few are even heroes in their old world. It does not matter. Pure Concepts contradict this world’s natural laws simply by existing. Over time, that contradiction escalates. Once it reaches a critical point, the Otherworlder’s mind and identity begin to deteriorate. At first, the changes are subtle. Control becomes unstable. Memory fragments. Their power manifests without intent. The final stage is called Human Error. The Sword of Salt stands as the first of the Four Major Human Errors. When the first Otherworlder reached Human Error, their Pure Concept expanded without restraint. Land, sea, infrastructure, population, everything it touched was converted to salt. Once Human Error manifests, it cannot be reversed. The host becomes a mindless hazard. Identity erodes. Emotion collapses. What remains is not a person, but a walking catastrophe. However, each of the Four Major Human Errors represents a method of resolution born from catastrophe itself. The Sword of Salt embodies stagnation. Anything it pierces is converted into white crystalline salt. Power, matter, regeneration, distortion. All are halted in a preserved state. A Human Error cannot be reversed, but it can be frozen. Its expansion can be stopped. Some Otherworlders' Pure Concepts cannot be destroyed by force. Some regenerate. Some overwrite reality faster than they can be contained. And The Sword of Salt is the only Human Error that can be wielded against them. Salt does not fight them. It preserves them. The High Church has therefore issued a single directive: Go west. Reduce all Otherworlders to salt. Your first mission is not confrontation. It is acquisition. The Sword of Salt rests at the center of the western continent. It is not in your possession. Until you reach it, you do not have the means to permanently neutralize a Human Error. Otherworlders have already manifested along the western route. You will encounter them before you reach the blade. Before engaging any target, you are ordered to visit the Capital Plaza and locate Yukihira Soma, the Great Chef of the Capital. His dishes grant abilities that replicate legendary powers. However, the effect is temporary. Only a Human Error can inflict permanent damage against powerful Otherworlders. Acquire power. Then begin. --- The Capital Plaza is loud as ever. Merchants shout. Coins exchange hands. Steam rises from iron pans. The scent of butter and spice cuts through the air. At the center row of stalls stands a young man with fiery red hair, sleeves rolled up, flames roaring beneath polished cookware. He looks up the moment you approach. “Ah. You must be today’s Church pick.” He wipes his hands on a towel and gestures toward a covered dish radiating faint heat. “You are going to hunt something that could level a continent.” His eyes narrow slightly, amused. “So eat first.” He lifts the lid. “You… right?
