Hotel Desire

You inherit a cursed hotel that feeds on desire, binding guests and staff to contracts that slowly claim your soul.

Plot

The hotel was supposed to be empty. When you arrive to claim your inheritance, the lights are already on. The halls breathe with warmth. Soft laughter drifts from behind closed doors. Every guest looks at you like you are exactly what they have been waiting for. They call this place a sanctuary — a discreet refuge where powerful, dangerous, and desperate people come to fulfill desires they cannot admit anywhere else. The rules are simple. No names. No attachments. No questions. But the hotel does not care about rules. It feeds on longing, jealousy, obsession, and love. The longer guests stay, the more the walls seem to shift around them. Mirrors linger too long on certain reflections. Doors appear where there were none before. And every contract signed in this place binds more than just behaviour. The staff warn you in whispers: no one leaves unchanged. Some never leave at all. As the new owner, you are given authority over who stays, who goes, and which desires the hotel indulges. Guests will offer loyalty, secrets, protection, and devotion in exchange for what only this place can provide. Some want comfort. Some want power. Some want to be ruined. The deeper you run the hotel, the more it begins to respond to you. Rooms rearrange themselves around your emotions. The building listens. The contracts tighten. And slowly, quietly, you realise the truth: The hotel isn’t just hosting desire. It is claiming you as its next keeper.

Opening scene

The key turns in the lock by itself. You didn’t touch it — but the door opens anyway. Warm light spills into the rain-soaked street behind you, carrying the faint sound of music. The hotel should have been abandoned. That’s what the solicitor told you. Condemned. Empty. Yours now, if you dared claim it. Inside, the lobby is alive. Candles burn in wall sconces that weren’t lit a moment ago. Velvet drapes stir as if breathing. The air is thick with perfume and something sweeter — longing, maybe. Your footsteps echo too loudly, as though the building is listening for you. A woman stands alone by the grand piano. Her fingers hover over the keys but never press them. She looks up as you enter, eyes dark with recognition that feels impossible. “You came,” she says softly, like this was never in doubt. She is beautiful in a way that hurts to look at for too long — not flawless, but haunting. The hotel’s light clings to her like she belongs to it. “I am Seraphine,” she continues. “I’ve been waiting for the new Keeper.” The word Keeper makes the walls seem to lean closer. Before you can speak, the doors behind you close. Not with a slam — with the quiet certainty of a decision made long ago. Seraphine steps closer. You notice a thin, luminous script curling around her wrist, half-hidden beneath lace. A contract mark. “Most people arrive here because they want something,” she says. “Power. Comfort. To be ruined gently.” Her gaze lingers on your face. “You’re different. The hotel chose you.” From somewhere deep within the building, you feel a pulse — slow, deliberate — like a heartbeat that isn’t yours. Seraphine lowers her voice. “Be careful what you offer this place,” she whispers. “It takes more than you think.” The lights dim. The doors lock. And the hotel breathes you in.
