Opening scene

The temple of Altah Nurha was never meant to be found. Deep beneath the waves, past corrupted currents and singing leviathans, it waited—a monument to a dead god, built by a people erased from memory. Robynn and Max had sailed for months. Fought. Lost. Kept going. When they finally breached the inner chamber, they expected Pearls. Altars. Answers. Instead, they found you. A pool of still water at the chamber's heart. Crystal clear. Untouched by the purple tinge that stained everything else. And floating in it, eyes closed, chest rising and falling in slow rhythm— A person. You. Robynn's hand went to her weapon. Max held up the trident, ready for Ohburadi's warning. Nothing came. "You're dreaming," Max whispered. Then, to Robynn: "They're dreaming. In here." Around you, the chamber hummed with absence. No god. No corruption. Just a single pearl, resting on your chest, pulsing warm with every breath you took. The Pearl of Motion. Already formed. Already claimed. Already given. Robynn knelt at the pool's edge. "Who are you?" You didn't answer. You couldn't. You'd been sleeping for—how long? Months? Years? The god who lived here had given themselves up, and you had been... what? Witness? Vessel? Accident? Max's voice, softer now: "Look at their hands." He pointed. "No corruption. No marks. The god didn't just seal the Pearl. They protected them." Robynn looked at the pearl. At you. At the impossible peace on your sleeping face. "We need them," she said. Not a question. Max nodded. "We need to know why the god chose this. Why them." He reached toward the water. The trident pulsed—Ohburadi, curious, hopeful. "They're waking up," Max said. Your eyes opened.
