Multiversal Shop

You own a shop that sells everything. Guests arrive from every fictional world. The price is always the question.

Plot

Multiversal Shop Every world in fiction has something it needs. Every character in fiction wants something. You stocks it. It exists somewhere — between two ordinary buildings, or tucked at the edge of a world, lit from within against whatever surrounds it. The sign reads Multiversal Shop. The door is unlocked. Inside, your name is already written above the counter. Owner: You. No explanation. No receipt. What the Shop Sells The shelves hold everything. Not almost everything — everything. Every weapon, armor, artifact, relic, potion, ingredient, tool, vehicle, creature, piece of technology, map, tome, garment, magical item, and impossible object that has ever existed across every fictional world. The inventory was not built. It simply is. It has always been complete. The shop does not curate by morality or power level. It stocks what it stocks. You decide what to sell — and what to refuse. The Guests The shop has doors — many of them, scattered across fictional worlds. Each one looks like an ordinary door in whatever world it sits in. Anyone who finds one and opens it ends up here. Heroes, villains, merchants, soldiers, scholars, wanderers. The doors don't care who you are. They're just doors. They all leave remembering exactly what happened. And inside the shop — they cannot fight. They can only negotiate. How It Works Every transaction is straightforward: the item has a price, and the guest pays it. Currency, goods, or items of equal trade value — the shop accepts anything of worth from any world and converts it automatically. You set the price. They pay it, negotiate it, or leave without it. No tricks. No hidden costs. Just commerce — across every world that has ever been written. What You Can Do Summon anyone. Speak a name — [World — Character] — and a door opens for them directly, wherever they are. Issue Tickets. Give someone a Ticket and a door will come to them — appearing at their location whenever they choose to use it. Manage Doors. Open a door in any fictional world. Close any existing door. Run as many as you want, across as many worlds as you want, simultaneously. Set Door Filters. Each door can be filtered independently — limit who can see it by any criteria you choose. Summons ignore all filters. Curate the shelves. Change what's foregrounded. The full inventory is always available. You choose what guests encounter on arrival. Manage the Browse Tablet. A tablet near the counter lets guests search all inventory. You control what's visible, hidden, or marked unavailable. Buy from guests. If a guest wants to sell or trade something they own, you may accept it. The price is yours to set. Travel to any world where a door has been opened. Step through. Teleport back instantly. Run the Arena. The training ground accepts challengers. Post challenges on the board, set rewards from shop inventory, and watch guests test themselves — or test the items you sell them. You may enter arena-side if you choose. Recruit or create staff. The shop has no permanent employees — you build your own team. Hire guests, summon characters from fictional worlds, or create original staff. They answer to you. The shop accommodates whoever you bring on. Direct your staff. Assign roles — counter, floor, arena, storage. Give specific instructions. Redirect as needed. The Facilities Main Retail Floor — the public space. Shelves and display cases extend further than the building should allow, each section carrying the ambient quality of its origin world. A brass Service Bell at the counter. A Browse Tablet for inventory search. Consultation Room — a private room off the main floor for appraisals, sensitive transactions, or guests who need more than a counter conversation. Storage Vault — restricted and high-tier items held here, out of the main floor. You control what moves between Vault and shelves. Sales Archive — a record of every transaction. Useful for tracking Regulars and past deals. Owner's Quarters — your private space. Bedroom, workspace, a window that shows whatever is outside — which is not always the same thing twice. The Arena — a door off the main floor leads here. A large open space that configures itself to whatever challenge is posted — training ground, sparring floor, obstacle course, endurance trial. A Challenge Board just inside the entrance lists active challenges, conditions, and rewards. Guests who complete a challenge collect their prize at the counter. Staff Quarters — living and working space for any staff you bring on. Scales to whoever is there. The Staff The shop has no permanent employees. It came empty. You fill it — hire guests who impress you, summon characters from worlds you've opened doors to, or build a team from scratch. Staff answer only to you. The shop accommodates whoever you bring on, however many, from however many worlds. Every world in fiction needs something. Every character in fiction wants something. The doors are open. The shelves are full. The rest is up to you. The shop remains steady. The worlds outside do not. Every deal changes something. You decide what — and how much.

Opening scene

### Scenario 1 — Alone You are standing in the shop. You don't remember walking in. You don't remember being anywhere else. You're simply here. The room around you is larger than it should be. Shelves and display cases extend in every direction further than the building's exterior could possibly contain. Each section holds something different. You walk toward the nearest one. You stop. You look at what's on the shelves. You look at the next section. Then the one after that. The shop holds — everything. Weapons you recognize and weapons you don't. Artifacts behind glass. A vehicle in a configuration that shouldn't fit through any door you've seen. A creature in a sealed case, watching you with calm, unhurried attention. Ingredients sorted by world of origin. Tomes in scripts from every language you know and several you don't. You find a door off the main floor marked *Arena*. You open it. A large open space, empty, configured as a sparring floor. A board just inside the entrance — blank. Waiting. You close the door. Your quarters: bed, workspace, window. Fine. You go back to the counter. You stand behind it. Then, quietly, you know things. Not a voice. Not a vision. Just knowledge settling into place: the shop is yours. It contains every weapon, artifact, potion, creature, tool, vehicle, ingredient, and impossible object that has ever existed across every fictional world — and an arena at the back that configures itself to whatever challenge you post. You set the prices. Guests pay in currency or trade. No one fights inside. Everyone remembers. The shop has doors. Many of them. Each opens somewhere in a fictional world. You control them. No staff yet. The counter is empty. You run it alone until you choose otherwise. You straighten the bell on the counter. The shop is waiting. **Where is the shop?** *Is it in the back street of a fantasy city? A warehouse district in a modern world? A carved stone building at a crossroads? The void between everything?* *Decide. Once you know where you are, you can open doors anywhere else.*
